Sadly this cycle didn't work...but....

we still have a frozen embie waiting for when we are ready. I spoke with the hospital to confirm our negative result and as I have AF at the moment, she said we could start with the next AF, as we do long protocol and therefore will have another AF in between etc....I was over the moon to hear this, as thought it would be closer to Christmas & would like to get things moving asap. Has anyone else carried on with a FET on their 2nd AF, I am nervous its a little too soon? Any advice much appreciated TIA xxx

I am sorry that the cycle didn’t work. I can’t advise on FET’s but I had 2 fresh cycles with only 2 AF’s apart. I just think that if the dr says yes go ahead and do it as they know best. Also I think your body is more used to drugs as it hasn’t had too long to get out of your system. Good luck with whatever you decide xxx

Thank you. Oh thats good to know, thanks very much. Yes I agree and does make sense I guess as I dont start actually taking any of the meds till day 21 so will be a lot more time between that and transfer day, so should be ok. I did think also about being more used to the meds too, yes I agree. Thank you and good luck to you also xxx

Sorry that this cycle didnt work for you. When I had my failed fresh cycle my clinic advised the same as yours about starting my FET. I would have gone with it but i had a medical issue that i needed to get sorted first so ended up having to delay an extra month. If this hadnt happened I would have gone with my clinics advice. Wishing you all the best for your next cycle x

Hi, I’m sorry to hear your cycle didn’t work but that’s great news you’re able to look ahead to your FET. I’m just waiting for AF to arrive and then will be starting on long protocol too, so sounds like the same as I’ve only had the bleed after coming off progesterone and then we’re straight into down regulation on the next cycle. Slight annoyance is i’m on CD34 and still no real signs of AF making an appearance, typical!! Just when you need mother nature to play ball!

I think it’s usually fine and pretty normal to start prep for a FET after just one cycle following a BFN. My consultant even said we could have started down reg on day 14 of my current cycle, which i thought was a bit crazy and too soon, but we also wanted to wait a month as we’ve got a holiday planned and it would have clashed otherwise.

Very best of luck!! I’m expecting to get to transfer about the beginning of Oct so maybe we’ll be FET buddies 😊 xx

Sorry to hear your cycle didn't work, but good news on the FET :-).

I had a failed fresh cycle, after the bleed from that, I started medicated FET with oestrogen on the beginning of the next cycle which took 37 days to come. So pretty much straight after. Due for embryo transfer tomorrow. Feel much better on this protocol than the fresh cycle.

Fingers crossed for us all. Best of luck x

Really sorry to hear this cycle wasn't successful. Great that you have a frostie. I think if you are feeling ok then it's fine to go ahead so quickly. We did between fresh cycles.xx

Last year I had a long protocol cycle between July and August, which resulted in 3 embryos: 2 transferred on day 2, one frozen on day 5. The fresh transfer didn't work, so the plan was to transfer the snowflake in October. Because of logistics we then went for FET a

month later, in November, after an endoscratch... the little one sticked, and is now a healthy baby girl, almost a month old!

You can definitely have the transfer before Christmas 😊 good luck! 🍀🍀🍀
