Was supposed to start IVF cycle now this

I was supposed to start my IVF cycle on Friday 18th but I’ve had abnormal bleeding this cycle. No one knows what it is. GP doesn’t seem to think it’s an infection. She’s done a swab just in case but I’m just a bit overwhelmed.

I have a history of fibroids but the clinic doesn’t seem to think this would be a reason for abnormal bleeding. I’ve pretty much bled on and off since 28th April and I’m pretty fed up with bleeding now. The past 2 days have been a proper bleed like AF but I can’t tell if I count it as AF or as breakthrough bleeding.

IVF cycle has been abandoned for this cycle until swab results come back and then the clinic wants to scan me. So fed up with my body now. After almost 12yrs and still not working.

Sorry for the rant but I’m just so outdone.

Sorry to know, but do not worry its always good to sought out issues before going for ivf. Its heart breaking if it fails, i just had a failed ivf and now have to wait for another 2 to 3 cyclyes to try for another time. I wish you all the best

Thank you. I’m now 40 and this will be our 3rd cycle - 2nd fresh cycle so time is of the essence for me.

Oh how frustrating for you! So annoying when you’re focused in on a plan & your body just isn’t playing ball. Hopefully they’ll get to the root of the bleeding & you can reset with the best chance possible of a successful cycle. Keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞xx

Hi there, I hope you may be fine. It’s a painful procedure. You have gone through a lot of tough time. Life purpose is to move on.IVF Maybe fail. So you go for surrogacy. Well, it’s a treatment in which you get your own biological child. A surrogate mother is appointed to you. My friend was suffering through a lot. IVF doesn’t work on her because she was not healthy. So she visited clinics in London. They treated her really well. Now she is having 3 children. She is loving it. You will also love it. Got for it and don’t hesitate. Best of luck my dear friend.

Thank you. Surrogacy is not an option yet for us. Until I’ve been told there is nothing else they can do for us we will continue with our last attempt at IVF. I guess I will have to sit and wait on the results and then we’ll go from there.
