17 weeks pregnant.. second stay in hospital

So Sunday night I was re-admitted to hospital- labour ward this time as they were co vonced our baby was in hospital way. I knew he wasnt, I knew it was this stupid haematoma and TMI - it was, and it was causing contractions due to blood clots being stuck in my cervix which the DR had o remove. Thank goodness for entonox! The entire team were convinced my waters had gone as the blood was watery (despite me arguing it had been watery since the bleeding started nearly 4 weeks ago) and then another doctor was convinced she could feel membranes bulging on the pelvic exam. Needed 2 blood transfusions and 4 bags of fluids to try push my Hb up amongst all that I was the only one convinced my baby was fine (of course at risk as theres only so much my body could go through and it reject them too). Had a scan on the Monday and baby was well, the haematoma was still over my cervix - which increases bleeding and that is what the dr could probably see, not the membranes, 98% of the placenta was fine, it was all still attached but there was a small area that had a bleed behind it. Bleeding has now nearly stopped again, awaiting bloods for my Hb and a scan of the baby and measurement of my waters as they still arent 100% convinced that my waters havent broken - I know they havent. Plan now is to keep them in as long as possible, ideally to a minimum of 28 week- hopefully much longer. In a perfect world the haematoma will resolve its self very quickly and my pregnancy will continue as normal. However they are very very unconvinced I'll make it near full term. I just have to believe in my baby and my body.

Hi,

I'm 12 weeks pregnant and I had a bleeding during the weekend and it was so stressful. But my story compared to yours was nothing!! They didn't see what was causing the bleeding and babies were fine, so I could return home and bed rest.

Stay strong for your baby, I believe you can do it! Big hug!! xxx

Yeah unfortunately theres quite a large haematoma between the membranes and womb and nothing can really be done about it so just got to hope it doesn't get bigger and damage the placenta or cause pprom x

So sorry you are having such a difficult time. It sounds like you are amazingly calm and handling it very well though so well done xx

Thank you, I'm glad I had the entonox to help me through as it was excruitiating with the blood clots this time. Thankfully ultrasound this aft showed no sign of a haematoma! Still bleeding a little so there must be a small, slow bleed internally but that could just be my body fixing itself x

Absolute madness isnt it! Hope you are well lovely. Had a repeat ultrasound at 1.30 and no haematoma in sight! Doctor is amazed as he genuinely didn't expect our boy to make it and he was happy, sleeping by the looks of it but twitching away Haha. Just resting now until our 20 week scan and hopefully it doesn't return! Xx

Incredible, that's amazing news! Hopefully there's no more stress for you, you've certainly had more than your fair share. When's your 20 week scan? It feels ages until ours, 15 weeks tomorrow 👍🏼x

2nd of September, I'll be 20+6 then. So not too long to go. And the wait does feel like agea's doesn't it!

That sounds terrible. Take it easy and hang in there. x

Wow, it’s all so terrifying isn’t it? Sounds like you are staying amazingly strong and it’s great news that it seems to have gone. 🤞it stays away and the rest of your pregnancy is uneventful x

Yeah, here is hoping! However as I was waiting to be discharged I passed another clot so now waiting for a dr review and spending at least another night here. My arms look like an IV drug user!
