Hi, I had this diagnosis when I had my bleed last week. It’s very scary when it happens, but hopefully the hospital gave you some reassurance when you went today. Keeping everything crossed for you x
You could always try a private scan for extra reassurance.
I had a haematoma too not sure if it had any other name but was roughly the same size as yours looking at my notes. I had a bleed at 6 weeks and scanned at 6+ 3- all ok then bled again that afternoon and scanned the following week and all ok. Both times it was quite a lot of blood and clots but they did warn me it could happen again. Thankfully it didn’t but I did bleed until about 10 weeks xx
Yes I had a subcronic haematoma . It was only small and was right at the neck of my womb . Was noticed at my 5 weeks scan . By 13 weeks it had gone but it worried me. I didn’t actually bleed with mine though my body absorbed it xx
Hi. Yes, this can happen before the placenta develops, which starts off from the chorionic villi. Don’t know why, and it is so scary when it happens. More often than not it does settle back down. Fingers crossed all goes well. Thinking of you. Diane
