Lining - 7.8mm?

Hello all,

It’s been awhile. I hope everyone is ok.

It’s FET time (only one blastocyst!) and my lining is only 7.8mm after almost two weeks of Estradiol gel and tablets. Doctor said he wants it to be 9mm so he is increasing my dose and delaying the transfer.

Is 7.8mm very low? 😊

Hi Anna. If you want to have better chances of your embryo to stick, your linning should be not less then 8mm. 7.8 is low and 9-10mm would be good. Don't worry and take a little more time for it to grow. I think everything will be alright. Baby dust!

Thanks so much...is three weeks too long though? It only shifted 2mm in a week....gulp! xx

7.8mm is still a decent number. The preference is that its over 9mm (including my clinic) but try not to worry too much. Some of us dont get big thick linings and the clinic will be looking for not only thickness but quality too, a trilaminar appearance (triple lined) as this suggests receptivity. Good luck.xx

Thank you so much. He said it was triple lined, so I guess that is good news. He just injected my womb with a hormone and has given me tons of hormones and told me to wait another week (3 weeks in total?!), I don't suppose the lining can go down during this time?

Thanks for everything. You are a lifesaver on this forum.

How are you? I hope you are ok and you have a more positive update for us.

Sending love xxxxx

Tripled lined is great news, my clinic always take quality over quantity! My lining is never that great but so long as we have quality the clinic is happy and that's me had a BFP twice although no baby yet. Your lining shouldnt decrease in that time, your Dr sounds like they have everything covered! Im doing ok thanks. Just hanging around hoping to get an update of when we can start planning to go again. My progesterone was very low in the last pregnancy, too low to support a pregnancy so hoping we have found the final piece of the jigsaw....more progesterone next time!xx

I am very relieved for you - I think the "not knowing" is the worst part. I am delighted to hear that you now have more answers and can correct the dosage next time.

Everyone deserves the chance to be a mother, but especially you! You have given so much to this online community.

Thanks again and I will look out for your updates xx

Its not 100% guaranteed that if we fix this we will get another BFP but can only hope and try again!! Aww you're so kind! I dont think I really desserve it anymore than the next person....I hope we all get the chance to be a mum one day!xx

You will. You are strong and determined, and it will happen.

Mostly, I think this is an odds game and it is your turn xxxx

can I just ask what your doctor injected into your womb?thanks

Hi Anna! On my last cycle I had 7.6mm on my last scan before FET. My clinic was happy with that number. I got a BFP so try not to worry too much. I dont get big thick linings but I had the trilaminar appearance (triple lined). Good luck!! xx
