Faint line still showing

Morning hope you’re all safe and well. it’s 3 weeks today since I had medical management for mmc and I’ve taken my test today as advised from my epu and it’s showing a very faint 2nd line? Is this normal or could there still be a little tissue left? I’m not wanting to bother hospital during these times and I feel healthy enough any advice would be appreciated. Thank you ❤️ xx

Hi Kurstx. I am not an expert on this but I have heard it can take a few weeks - variable. I didn't keep on taking pregnancy tests with mine, so I don't know how long hCG stayed in my system, but I think it was 5 weeks until I got my period again. If you're not in pain, then I wouldn't worry too much, it's just the horrible horrible waiting game for the body to return to normal. Sending lots of love xxx

But definitely give your clinic or an early pregnancy clinic a call if you're concerned. You don't need to go in to a hospital. x

Hi ttcemmie, thank you hope ur doing ok lovely. ❤️ Yes I did think it could take a long time for things to settle I was a bit sceptical taking the test my epu gave me to take today as 3 weeks doesn’t seem that long for hcg levels to go down. I feel well enough physically anyway so I’m sure all is ok. Your right it is horrible and with everything else going too it just adds to anxiety 😢. Glad you're feeling physically well. It is a stressful and anxious time and can imagine you just want to move on from the miscarriage. Hoping everything is over soon too. Lots of love. xxx

it may be that you arent retaining tissue but rather you hCG is taking a little longer to drop, especially if the line is faint. Mine took more than 2 weeks to get to normal and I was only 6 weeks (with a complete spontaneous loss) so I would imagine that yours may take a little longer. I would retest in around a week if you dont want to call them just yet.xx

Mine was negative by 2w they did say test after 3w with my mva and 2w naturally not sure why. I’d just test again in a week if still positive I would ring the epu just for advice. X

Really sorry you had to go through this, I've just been in hospital for medical management too. It is heartbreaking 😢

The hospital said they will call me in 3 weeks. If yours told you to call them if the test is positive I would do it, there must be a reason behind it.

The hospitals are under a lot of pressure but they still open as normal and a telephone convo won't make a massive impact while leaving it too late and needing an intervention may cause more problems.

Hi I’m glad your feeling better ❤️ I’m feeling better too you never forget but you learn to just get on with it somehow. Yes I retested and got a negative result this time. Xx
