9dpt5dt bfn! Lost all hope...is there still a chance for bfp?

I transferred a 5 day blast with assisted hatching. My embryologist told me it was an excellent embryo, growing at very well. I had a FET and the only symptom I have is sore boobs and fatigue (which I’ve put down to progesterone). I’ve tested for the past 3 days and not so much the faintest line! Nothing! My OTD is16dpt. Has anyone got a BFP later than this?

Hey lala I also had a 5day where embryologist said was a beautiful embryo I’ve been testing since 7dp5dt and also been having BFN today is also my 9days my OTD is Wednesday but nothing not even a faint line either and put my symptoms down to the progesterone I’m losing hope can’t see things changing in 2 days 😢😢

I’m so sorry to hear that. How are you coping? I’ve been in bits, I’ve never been so down. The thing is, my symptoms are getting worse, today my breasts are so sore. You just don’t k is what to think. I’m now 10dpt, I want to test again but I’m tired of seeing BFN. What have your symptoms been?

For both Layla and Sexy. This is the isssue IMO with early testing and especially forums where many are testing early. There is a reason clinics ask you to wait for 12-14 days past transfer for OTD. Feeling that you’re out of the running because you’re not seeing a BFP after 8-10 days is so sad and that negative feeling isn’t doing any good for you or embryo. I’m waiting until OTD because last cycle I tested early and it depressed me. Please don’t lose hope and wait until OTD

Hi Hope, I know you’re absolutely right! I wasn’t going to test but I felt so pregnant, I thought I’d see a BFP. I was wrong. Is this your second cycle? I’m doing FET and it’s my first cycle. I had OHSS so we had to do a freeze all.

This is my 2nd transfer and cycle. My first was just a day 3 embryo that’s all we got from the cycle to transfer. This cycle I’ve had 1 of 3 blastocysts transfered. Wishing you the best luck x

I did get a BFP later than day 9....I didnt get a BFP until 12dp5dt. I did lose the pregnancy at 6 week unfortunately however there is still hope. I dont want to get your hopes up too much but I know 2 ladies who didnt get a BFP until later, one on day 12 and the the other got a negative on day 12 and positive on day 14....they both have girls. Be careful with the type of test you use as some arent very sensitive and always use first morning urine. Good luck.xx

Hey Cinderella, thanks so much for your response! Well yesterday I had completely given up, actually started discussing next steps as I’m convinced this fet cycle has failed. I am hoping it’s a late one, really am! Did you have any symptoms? Because I’m confusing mine with my pessaries side effects.

Not really unfortunately! I was pretty resigned to a BFN as I started testing on day 8 I think....if you look back at my posts you can see a pic of my tests. After I got the positive I guess thinking back I had a mild back ache but I dont think that was any different from my 4 BFNs. The progesterone causes all sorts of pregnancy related side effects so its pretty hard to call it.xx

I’m so sorry you lost your little embie ☹️Good luck with your next cycle. 🤞 It’s really disheartening when you so many women get BFP’s at day 5. Im 28, with male factor so I was hoping she would be on my side but it’s pure luck.

Thank you! That is exactly it Lala! Its literally just down to luck, they just cant tell which embryos will have success....if they knew then there would be no failures! It is disheartening but chin up, you're getting there.xx

My OTD is on Friday, so I’m hoping and praying 🙏 I’ll be testing first thing in the morning and then I’ll have to call up the clinic and tell them my result. Wish me luck! x

Hi Zagreb! When’s your OTD? How many blasts did you transfer? I had one 5 day blastocyst, which I hope is baking away in there.

I have a frozen transfer on 17 th of May today I checked my pregnancy test it’s negative but I had another 1 frozen embryo left but I don’t know if it will work or not and nhs will not be funded .

I had my transfer on the exact same day as you! So we are literally on the same boat! And yeah you’re right, I have stopped testing completely. I ran out of Progynova (estrogen pills) yesterday and couldn’t get out of my meeting to pick my doctors prescription to get more. It was such a panic! Luckily my husband got them for me. My nurse later called me and I asked her should I even bother injecting anymore, because I got a negative on 11 dp5dt. And she straight away said, it’s far too early! She told me to stop testing and to only test on 16 dpt. she explained everybody shows hcg at different times. So she’s given me a little hope. It’s dangerous being too negative, you end up neglecting your medication. So we need to put on a brave face and stay positive
