BFN 7dp5dt is there still hope??

Hi everyone,

I am new here and just wanting some advice.

I am currently in the dreaded 2ww period and stupidly tested today with a cheap stick test and it was a BFN! I have been so upset tonight but it’s my own fault. My OTD is this Friday I just need to hold out until then.

Has anyone else tested early and got a BFN then and BFP?

I tested 7dp5dt and got the faintest of faintest lines so I think u have tested too early. I only got a clear positive 10dp5dt

Good luck xx

Think mine were cheap one off amazon, pack of 5 for £5 or something like that. I used clearblue on OTD xx

I would recommend purchasing First Response - they were definitely the most sensitive for us. The cheap tests didn’t give us a positive until about 10dp5dt. But it all depends on implantation, as I believe that’s when HCG starts producing. I read it can take up to 48 hours to implant, so if it was at the tail end of that period, then the amount may not be strong enough to detect on a cheap HPT. There is definitely still hope, I will keep everything crossed for you! 🤞🏼🍀🤞🏼

I couldn’t wait for the OTD and tested 5 days early like yourself and got a bfn then tested the day after I got a faint line on a cheapy (one step) and then tested 2 days later and still faint and then on OTD I got my bfp with clear blue (fast and easy) and it was dark! The cheapies are good but clear blue detect the hcg more :) good luck x
