Hi, I had a chemical pregnancy early in the week following FET. My period has since stopped but I’m still in severe lower abdomen discomfort- mainly in one spot around the left ovary “area”
Does anyone know if this is normal and experienced similar? With everything my body has gone through I’m not certainly not surprised about twinges and pain. Though this is localised though and certain times I can’t get up or makes bed buckle over...
Hard to find the balance of not being a hypochondriac but also listening to my body

Yes I had this on my last cycle about three days after embryo transfer. I went to my gp and almost couldn’t walk there but did somehow. The GP was running really late so by the time I saw her the stabbbing pain had subsided. She referred me to my clinic where I had a scan and all was ok. Thought my ovaries had twisted! No one knew what the cause was. (This round of ivf didn’t work).
To be honest I don’t think it had anything to do with ivf as I had it about 3 years ago and the gp did a phone consultation wanted to see me straight away. He didn’t know what it was but it did subside over the weekend.
So I’m none the wiser and sorry I can’t be of any help but it’s interesting that you have gone through this to. You’re definitely not being a hypochondriac! For me it felt like a stabbing pain or like my ovaries had twisted or they had gone into some kind of spasm.
I Hope your pain improves but if it doesn’t call your clinic on Monday. Sorry for your news 😔 Look after yourself xxx
You might have a cyst. I’ve had harmless cysts but they can still be uncomfortable. For peace of mind I would see if you can get a scan done to be sure x
