Second cycle

Hi, so ive been told by my clinic I could potentially start second cycle mid June, which will be three months after first transfer day.have to wait four weeks to test my thyroid as was a bit high. Just wondered generally do people usually start second cycle ASAP after first and what are pros and cons?. Thanks

Hi May37, I’m going to start in late May, my first cycle finished in early April so one natural period in between. This works out to 3 months between egg collections. Honestly I hate all the waiting around with ivf so I want to move forward rather than wait some more. The only con is that I was advised dhea for 3 months and i will be on it for slightly less, 2 and a half, but hope it still makes a difference. Other than that consider if you’re emotionally ready, this is the not so easy part.

I had an unsuccessful March transfer then a successful June one. So a could of months inbetween for my body to get ready. Best of luck for June.

Hi May. I am sure they will get cracking again, once your thyroid is stable. Fingers crossed that won't take too long, but it is important. Diane
