Hi Nabsal,I would only suggest changing clinics if you don't feel happy with the service or care but the fact that it failed could be for a number of reasons.
Were they able to collect eggs or form embryos?
It's really unfortunate about the NHS funding, it seems very unfair. It was the same for us but we had NHS funding for our first round which failed instead. We then paid for. Private round (at the same clinic) and got 3 embryos, had one implanted and that has worked so far.
Try not to be disheartened I hope your next round works!
I am confused shall I chose same one as they know me better because in nhs funding same clinic coming in list
If you feel happy with the level of care then I would stay with that clinic.
As you're already on the list for NHS funding it will likely happen faster than if you changed clinic so if time is important to you I would stay at the same clinic.
hi Nabsal, that’s great news you got one funded round 🙌🏼 as I know you were worried.
It’s difficult to know whether or not to change clinics. I would speak to them and see if they’d change your protocol for second round. You don’t want to repeat the same drug if the first cycle failed. That was the mistake my clinic made, they kept me on the same drug and I had a similar result second time round, so I would say speak to them before making a decision. Good luck xx
You can also look at the success rates of the other clinics on the list to make a decision. Head to the hfea website xx hfea.gov.uk/choose-a-clinic...
still don’t know what to do
Thank you
I spoke pervious clinic but they said thay will use same drugs . That’s why confused. But still I think my pervious clinic know me very well.
It’s a big step changing clinics, I did it after my second round. My new clinic got to know me just as well and had all my notes from previous rounds so were able to make decisions based on previous results. I feel more comfortable at my new clinic.
It all depends how comfortable you are with them and how much you trust them with your next cycle. No one else can decide but you x
Can I know your new and pervious clinic name plz
I would ask them why they are using same drugs if whole cycle failed.
Hi, you don't really need to change entire protocol to get a successful outcome. I'm speaking from experience. It could be the dosage that is changed or adding two types of stims. Also, IVF unfortunately does not always work first or even second time around. You can make lifestyle changes etc to have a better and successful cycle. If u have any questions, please dm me. I got one round free NHS then self-funded (a few times) because I really liked the team at my NHS clinic and feel that private clinics have too many add-ons. I wish you success.
