Hi everyone, hoping you can help. I started buserelin on day 21 of my cycle and now this is my 19th day, I started bleeding very lightly a week ago and then it stopped. Then last Wednesday the bleeding hit full swing and it’s still ongoing. I have my scan and practice transfer on Tuesday. The first week my injections were going really well, no bruising or anything but this week my left leg is so bruised and injections are becoming more painful, not sure why the first week was fine. Has anyone else experienced the same? Also since the bleeding started full swing I am so hormonal, my mind seems to have so much energy but my body is exhausted. I’m just struggling a bit this week and any tips would be appreciated

Day 19 on buserelin
Hi, I am on say 20 my husband is giving me the injections in my belly, I don't have any bruises. Have you tried in a belly? I have to admit O didn't like the idea of injections in my leg so never tried that.
I don't seem.to have any mood swings but I got a very unpleasant side effect of hyper sensitivity to smells it's been like this since day 8 and it's just terrible 😣
I guess we are all different and our bodies react in different ways. Just wanted to wish you good luck and positive thoughts xx
Thank you kiedy84 for your reply. I seem to be ok with my right leg so will continue with that one I think. Haven’t tried it in my stomach but I didn’t like the thought of it. Are you starting menopur next? If so have they given you a date yet? I should find on Tuesday when I start that.
I haven’t had any strong smells though, just feeling drained and headaches at times.
Good luck to you too, nice to chat to someone that’s at the same stage as me. Xx
I was told you probably won’t have a normal bleed as they are messing with your hormones. And yes my legs started to hurt and were bruised, I think it comes with the territory. I felt exhausted all the time and was up and down with my moods. Good luck and stay positive x
You could try moving to injecting into your tummy?! I got told to use the entire area from left to right below my belly button. That way you can move areas quite easily. I felt rubbish whilst down regulating but more myself when I moved onto the next stage. Good luck.xx
Thank you Cinderella5, when did you move on to the next stage? I was told injecting menopur is even harder than buserelin?
Wishing you good luck too xx
I found the needles with menopur a bit blunt so yes it can be a little tricky. I was able to move on after my scan & it sounds like you've had a good bleed so should be the same for you. Some people find putting ice on your skin before injecting numbs it a little. My tip is if you look at the needle closely the tip is angled. Try to pinch an inch, angle the needle at 45 degrees and put the sharp bit in slowly giving it a little twist. Also take it out slowly.xx
Hello. I'm on day 7 of Buserelin but have been injecting into my stomach. I've only bruised once so far. Haven't found it too bad doing them in my stomach as my nurse said to pinch the skin and then inject...not sure I would be able to do the same in my leg. Maybe try your tummy for a while?
I have been so tired since day 3 of the injections and quite emotional too. Crying for no reason 🤦🏼♀️ so grateful for the long weekend. Have literally slept, caught up on Netflix and read a book in the sunshine.
Hope you've been taking it easy too and you start to feel a bit better soon x x x
Thank you Drives.
I chose my thighs as I seem to have more fat to grab in that area. But I have realised I only seem to bruised in my left. The right i seem to be ok with so will keep going with that.
I haven’t been taking it easy so much to be honest but today I will be for sure. My mind keeps telling me that I can do lots but my body then tells me no sit for a while lol.
Wishing you all the best. We can do this xx
I found it got difficult to inject and the more bloated I got the worse it was xxx
