Irregular cycle on Buserelin

Hi ladies,

I am new here, my first IVF cycle was 12 years ago and I was blessed with my son. Now trying again with my wonderful husband (2nd marriage long story 😊) anyway, I am on day 11 of my Buserelin injections, I am on long protocol and started on day 21. I have always suffered from irregular periods and I'm still waiting for it to start. I'm a little concerned or this may be normal and I'm worrying too much. Has anyone else experienced a delay with periods whilst on Buserelin? Thank you

Thank you Diane. I have never wanted my period to show up more than now!! I hope it will show up soon. Thank you for the response

Hi Poppy, my period eventually started on Day 13. I called the clinic while I was waiting and they told me it is normal for there to be a delay and not to worry. If I had not started by 3 weeks, then they would have called me in for a scan. I'm now in the 2nd week of my 2ww which is an emotional rollercoaster!! Good luck with your treatment, your period will come.

Thank you so much. My period actually started today and I am having my scan on Thursday. I wish you all the best for the rest of your 2 week wait.
