I was diagnosed with unexplained infertility back in 2017. I had bloods and a HSG. The HSG showed possible endo but as the dye spilt, they classed it as unexplained. Anyway, after much saving up, I decided to go down the IVF route and had a scan last Friday. They found a 6.5cm endometrioma on my right ovary and two smaller simple Cysts on my left. I've had no symptoms, regular normal periods all my life, no pain from the Cysts, regular ovulation. I was devastated. I now need to go and see another gynaecologist to have scans etc and a possible operation to remove the cyst.
Does anyone have any advice, experience of this. Good vibes and good stories are always welcome as I am worrying like mad. I feel I probably have more wrong with me and I now feel IVF wouldn't work. My head isn't in a good place.
Goodness this could be me writing this a very much the same.
We have been trying for 6 years now. 3 IVF attempts with 2 miscarriages and unfortunately the 3rd attempt didn't work either. Although we do have 3 frozen from the 3rd attempt which is the result of taking DHEA to improve egg quality.
Sorry I don't have a positive story to share. I had the cyst removed as it was clearly having an impact on my hormones and egg quality. U just thought it was normal what I was feeling, when they operated they found my left tube fused to my left ovary and a endo cyst on my right ovary. My AMH reduced as a result of the surgery but how I felt overall was improved. It's amazing to think what u live with just thinking its normal.
We are going to try with our frozen later this year but having time out at the mo.
