Hi ladies, I’ve been getting some irritation down below and was worried I might have thrush but I’ve never had thrush, don’t have any obvious symptoms other than I’m a bit sore, it sometimes stings when I pee but have upped my water intake so not so much now and I have clear discharge.
Went to the pharmacist and they wouldn’t give me anything over the counter because you can’t take the pessaries if pregnant or trying to get pregnant and advised me to see GP who can’t see me until Monday 🙈 I’m also getting cramps so AF is on her way 😩 has anyone else had thrush from the pessaries and how did you treat it?
I’d have thought that since I’m not pregnant and it’s a single dose I could just use the canesten? DianeArnold can you help?

I actually just read an article about vaginal itching last night, (as one does on a Friday night 😂) it happens to me whilst on my period for a couple of days and then clears up. I read that the hormone changes and blood change the bacterial microbiome which can lead to itching. The skin can also thin at this time making it irritated. Inflammation before and during your period can also cause itching. This was just from google search so may not be 100% accurate but it seemed to make sense. Good that your visiting the GP, a bit annoying that you need to itch until Monday though 😬 xx
I also experience this around the time of my period. You're right it is something to do with hormones. I can always tell when AF is on her wicked way! Lol x
This might sound weird but get some cranberry juice and drink that it will help if you have a uti and it will take away the sting when you pee drink as much as you can it will help when it is going in to your bladder. All the best xx
