1 week into stims, how did you feel?

Hi all, I'm on day 12 of down regulating and have my baseline scan on Friday. Keeping everything crossed that the drugs are doing their thing and that my body is responding. If all is well, I'll start the next stage of stims then. My question is, I have a hen do on 9th March and am wondering how I might be feeling on day 8 of stimulating? I have a sort of story ready as to why I don't be drinking- going to say I'm on antibiotics. Do you think that's a good excuse?! We're doing crazy golf and dinner a drinks so shouldn't be tooooo crazy! X

Antibiotics is always a good excuse I also use the excuse that am working the next day. Am currently on day 6 of stims, am feeling a bit more tired than normal, my belly is starting to bloat and I feel full but emotionally feeling better since starting stims. Xx

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I can't say about working the next day as I work with the girls I'm going with 😂 I was in two minds about going, but my one friend does know about my situation and so we've agreed that if I'm feeling really bad, I'll make up a poorliness excuse I guess. Glad you're feeling emotionally better 😊 Bloating is not nice, I'm having that with Buserelin at the mo, so am cutting out sugar as I have such a sweet tooth! Just trying to drink plenty of water too XX All the best XX

Think it varies for everyone but I over stimulated so was very uncomfortable and tired. U may be fine though. Sometimes I think just doing stuff can take ur mind off it anyway so sure be fine. Have fun x

They effect everyone differently, but I was absolutely fine on stims apart from bloating. I had to mix powder and liquid for my stims which would have been fine if I’d had to do it out, but I struggled to open the glass thing without it shattering so hubs had to do it. That would have been the only thing to put me off going. I would just see how you feel and if you’re up for it go and enjoy yourself 😊

Thank you. I'm not sure what meds I'll have and if there'll be mixing involved, I think she said there was. Hmmmm I'll see how it goes xx

Are you taking Synarel? To be honest, the nasal spray has made me feel worse than my stims injections - stims have made my tummy hurt but like a period pain but the Synarel has completely floored me. I have still been having the odd glass of wine at home but have declined proper nights out more to do with how tired I feel. Just see how you feel come the day, if your friends know they will understand xxx

I'm on Buserelin. Picked up Menopur for stimulation yesterday. Doing my first one of those tonight, the needle is a little thicker than the Buserelin one, so the nurse said to give it a bit more of a 'stab' when going in...! I've been pretty tired for the last couple of weeks so don't think I will be staying out on any late nights! X

Ooh sounds like it could be sore! The tiredness has really surprised me but makes sense with all the hormones we are putting into ourselves! x
