I booked a holiday for Easter (before I knew I'd be doing IVF this cycle) and it leaves next Thursday afternoon but that's calendar day 13 so day 12 of stims for me...I think is likely I'll miss my holiday by a day right?
Just wondering when those of you who've had egg retrieval were triggered? I know everyone is different but just wondering if I should try and cancel the bits I can still get money back for or if I might still have a chance of going away?
Also how did you feel the day of and the days after egg collection?

Hey I had ec on day 15, had to stim for 13 days as on my second scan they said my follicles took a little longer to grow. So I ended up having scans on day 8,10,12 and 13. I did my trigger on the 13th day at 10.30pm. The day of ec was fine as the sedation didn’t really wear off until night, then the pain started the next day and Iv been pretty bloated and exhausted since. There are also side effects from the progesterone pessaries. I personally couldn’t have gone on holiday after ec but everyone responds differently! Good luck x
Eek day 15! I haven't thought about that possibility. I'm glad you've survived it all and sorry to hear you've not been feeling great recently. Thanks replying
Also if you will be aiming for a fresh transfer, this could come between 3 and 6 days after egg collection, so you would need to be around during that time period too. Good luck for your cycle xx
We're doing pgs testing so they'll all be frozen. I'll take next cycle off to get rid of the drugs then transfer (if I have anything to transfer that is!) Frozen embryo in June...
Don’t forget to add your trigger shot (36 hours) onto your stim days so possibly likely to miss a couple days depending when you trigger. Last cycle I went to 12 days then triggered the next day (triggered Sunday for weds E.G).
Felt so long!
I felt sooooo bloated from constipation (TMI?) so stock up on high fibre food and fibrogel! Good luck xx
