Hi all
Today marks the start of my second IVF round. Last time I had my first monitoring scan at day 10 and ended up having a freeze all due to high number of follicles and risk of OHSS.
This time around I’m having monitoring scans at day 6 and day 9, hopefully things will be different but at baseline today I had high follicle count so I reckon another freeze all is on the cards.
Is anyone else starting stims today or soon?

Good luck! I’m a few days ahead of you, day 7 of stims today…. Had first scan yesterday and another tomorrow . I’ve been where you are, my first ever IVF was a freeze all for the same reason x

So far so good, hoping to get to a fresh transfer this time - scan yesterday looked ok, no over stimulation yet xx

Heya, how are you doing?
Had a scan today and my nurse thought I’d trigger today for collection on Wednesday - said all looks good - now the doctor said to wait one more day, trigger tomorrow for collection Thursday - and I’m getting anxious about ending up with a freeze all again! 🥴 my nurse said she’s confident that shouldn’t happen…. I really hope not, the frozen never worked for me.

Hi lovely, how’s your follicle count looking? In my clinic they seem to make all decisions about freeze all based on follicle count which is why I’m convinced I’ll be freezing again!
I’m only on day 4 stims, I’ve got my first monitoring scan tomorrow, then another on Friday. I’m expecting to have EC next Monday xxx
Follicle count ok so far - she said it should be in the early teens which is within manageable. Hope it continues that way! Ah that’s good, glad all’s well so far

Hi love, looks like I have also avoided a freeze all. I’m so shocked! I started with a very high number of follicles at baseline, I think circa 30. But she said the decision to freeze all depends on how many over 11mm. Anyhow, had my EC yesterday and they managed to get 15 eggs. Working towards fresh transfer on Sunday 🤞🏻 How are you? X

I had the collection on Thursday - 30 follicles! But only 16 eggs collected - so doctor said she will defer the decision on fresh transfer or frozen till day 5, to see how I’m doing. I felt crazy bloated and quite achy for 3 days, much worse than previous egg collections - but by day 4 it all settled down, so when I came in on day 5 they were happy to go ahead with a fresh transfer 👍 that was yesterday, one embryo in, 2 in the freezer and we’re now officially on the 2WW 🤞🤞🤞

I had my egg collection yesterday, now for the 5 day wait! How did your collection go? Xxx
I had mine Monday too, I had 5 eggs but only 2 fertilised so having transfer tomorrow xx

Hello Zbez88 & MakingbabyN,I think i’m the same as both of you as I’m on day 1 too (yesterday). I’ve scans booked day 7 & 9 and this is also my second round of IVF. My husband has just found out that he has a high DNA fragmentation level (if that’s how you say it) so we might need to use ICSI this time we are told.

Good luck lovely, keep us posted. We also have male side fertility issues. Whilst no DNA testing has been done there is a chance of DNA damage with my husband too given how our embryos dropped off from day 3 last time. He’s been taking proxeed for the last 3 months so hoping that will make a difference but I’m also going to push for ICSI too xxx

Hey,We had 9 eggs collected, 6 fertilised but only 2 made it to blast and they were only a C grade so I’m not holding out too much hope seeing as I’ve been in a similar transfer situation twice before with no success. I hope your tww is going smoothly! XX
Starting tomorrow 😀 first round got 2 embryos. Both transfers failed 😞 Hoping for some better luck this time.
Have changed clinics and protocols so I’m feeling hopeful 💕🤞

Hey x yes I just got home. All went really well 🙏 14 eggs collected.Now it’s the waiting game to see how may fertilised. We will find out tomorrow.

That’s brill, I had 15 eggs collected, 12 of those were mature and 10 have fertilised 🙏🏻🙏🏻 It’s been pretty stressful though because my husband tested positive for covid late last week, so we’ve had to use a frozen pre covid sample that we had, rather than a fresh sample. Really disappointing because he had managed to improve his quality by 20% with supplements. But they said it was too risky to go ahead. Stressful!

At least he had some frozen to use 🙏
We used frozen too as my partner has had a vasectomy which is why we r travelling this road.
Last TESA he had they managed to freeze two straws which was great. He didn’t have to have procedure again.
As he messaged me when he found out the frozen sample thawed well “ my nuts are safe”
I’m glad as it took him a few weeks to completely recover from the procedure.
I really hope we both get some good embies 🙌🙌🙌
My transfer is Monday at this stage of all goes to plan 😀 we will be transferring 2 hopefully 🙏

Our clinic asked me this morning whether we might want to transfer two. I said yes but it depended on the quality we end up with. If we have poor quality, I’d be more tempted to do 2. Xxx

We have had 2 failed transfers so transferring 2 might be a better option for us.
If we get that far we will look at transferring a good embryo and maybe a poorer quality.
If we get twins we will be happy.
We have always wanted 2 children.
We will just have to see how it all goes I guess 🙌😀💕

Eeek, how exciting! Yes we had 1 4BB transferred last Sunday and find out next Thursday. How are you feeling? My boobs feel full and I had some weird orange discharge yesterday, but other than that absolutely nothing. Really hoping it’s third time lucky but it’s hard to stay positive! Xx
Yes 🙌 I’ve had symptoms ( sore boobs, cramping and fatigue )but I’m putting them all down to the HCG shots I’ve had after the transfer.I really hope it’s a positive for both of us !

Hope you two are doing ok, I ended up having a 5 day transfer on Saturday,I was about to leave last Thursday for 3dt and they rang to say 3 had fertilised rather than the 2 they had told me on the phone, I had a 4ba transferred and the other 2 were good enough to freeze, my test day is Wednesday, fingers crossed for both of you xx

A bit ahead of you, third cycle for us, the first two cycles were freeze all due to OHSS. We had lower dose stims this time at 225 and it’s helped a lot! We had on EC on Weds, so far so good! We got 19 eggs and had 12 embryos yesterday! If all goes well, transfer on Monday! Good luck with your cycle xx

I feel so different this time! The first two cycles I felt bloated very early on and it stayed throughout the whole stims process! My ovaries were so large they were touching! This time I had bloated ness, I’ve been on lots of supplements and I’m feeling good after EC. The plan is our first fresh cycle on Monday! I’m taking it easy and drinking about 3ltrs of water a day! It’s all in the hands of our embryos now but this cycle has been so different and I feel so much more relaxed xxx

Yes, transferred a 5AA blast on Monday, I’ve decided I’m not googling every twinge this time, I’m taking it easy, having lots of water and protein and putting my feet up! I’m staying positive this time and taking it in my stride! How are you getting on? Xx
