I’m new to the community and looking for some hope and support through hearing other’s stories.
We have been trying for a family for 5 years. DH is 41 and I’m 38. I have PCOS and hubby has slightly raised Sperm DNA fragmentation.
Our IVF journey has been:
2017 6 months Clomid. All cycles ovulated but bfn.
Oct 2017 NHS funded failed cycle. Meds weren’t high enough. Collected 1 mature egg but didn’t fertilise so no transfer.
March 2018 NHS funded failed cycle. 13 mature follicles collected and only one 5 day blasto to transfer. None to freeze and BFN.
Oct 2018 Privately funded cycle. Very faint bfp and blood tests confirmed a chemical pregnancy. Luckily had one frostie.
Jan 2019 privately funded FET. We got our first BFP ever but sadly had a miscarriage at 5weeks 6days.
We plan to wait a while before doing one last cycle. I have been really up and down emotionally since the miscarriage and am trying to mentally boost myself up to get back in the game before our review with the doctor in a couple weeks.
Any support and encouragement will help! Thanks!

I hope things go well for you. Just stay calm and positive. Make sure to listen to the doctor. Also, make sure to take care of your diet as well. Include all the nutrients in your diet. Good luck to you. Sending baby dust your way. You can opt for acupuncture as well.
Hi there, I feel your pain and I’m kind of in the same situation as you and your husband.
I have managed to stay off the internet and forums for 4 years while trying to conceive. Since I joined this one, I find reading what other people are going through has really helped with the feelings of isolation I’ve been feeling. I was ready to explode this morning but coming on here does help calm me down. I guess what I’m trying to say is, be kind to yourself. I’m sorry you’ve been through a hellish journey too xxxxx
So sorry to hear of your difficult journey. Like you I had a couple of early losses. Within first 7 weeks and with my daughter, they prescribed me 75mg aspirin and clexane in case my blood was clotting in the placenta and 9 months later on the next FET we had our daughter. Not sure if you've tried this option? For me personally I just felt better asking the clinic what we could do differently to help prevent it from happening again. Eased my mind a lot.
This is very sad but dont loose hope. God will bless u. one good thing out of all this here as u have conceived once there r good chances that u will again.. keep ur hopes high and try to enjoy the life.. all the best.
Your journey sounds a bit similar to mine - 5 years TTC, trouble with PCOS, the joy of pregnancy only to have an early miscarriage... At times I thought I couldn't go on. It just felt so draining and the problems endless. Every time I thought we were on our way, something else would crop up and leave me feeling completely out of control again. But in October we had a FET and I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant. It's really promising you did manage to get pregnant so the chances look good for it happening again and working next time. I really hope things do work out for you and one day you'll back at this time and be so glad you kept going. X
