Hello everyone and thank you for taking the time to read this. After getting BFN yesterday I have been crying constantly and barely slept. But now trying to plan next steps to give me something to focus on. Me and my partner were TTC for two years before IVF after being referred and the monthly sadness after realising I wasn’t pregnant I gave up on getting pregnant naturally and focused on IVF. I am with the NHS so have a long wait ahead but luckily have 2 more funded rounds. I have low AMH 2.47 and AFC 3+3 when last checked and I’m 35 so time is not on my side. I have been taking DHEA, COQ10, pregnacare, omega for 5 months. My BMI hovers around 30 so plan to lose weight by eating healthily and being active. Has anyone had success getting pregnant naturally after failed IVF cycle with low AMH and AFC. Also does anyone have experience of losing weight and getting BFP? Looking for some positive stories and inspiration during this dark time.
I have so much admiration for ladies going through this number of times it’s so heartbreaking and unfair... but hopefully one day I will get my BFP!
Thanks for reading xxx

Coming off the progesterone I found really hard last time so be extra kind to yourself over the next week and treat yourself to some nice things this weekend. And remember it will get better. Sending you many hugs xx
Hi, my AMH was 2.9 when i was 34. I had my son after my 4th round of IVF. He was born just before i turned 36. You are still young in IVF terms. sending good luck vibes to you x
I got pregnant naturally twice at 38 with AMH of 0.5 and at 41 with AMH 0.16. I had unsuccessful IVFs and IUIs in between. Low AMH alone should not prevent you from getting pregnant, it just means IVF stims aren't going to work on you. Multiple back to back cycles of natural or mild IVF with embryo banking work better for us. Before doing more cycles make sure there aren't any other issues standing in your way. Check sperm for DNA fragmentation, make sure your thyroid TSH is below 2. Etc... good luck on your next cycle.
Thanks a lot Marisa32 how do you check thyroid and what do you do to reduce TSH? Thats amazing news about getting pregnant naturally did you do anything special in particular that helped? I’m going to continue with not drinking alcohol and caffeine. Thanks again really gives me hope and something to investigate xx
Your fertility clinic should be checking your TSH levels before putting you through IVF but I'm learning not all do. You can find an endocrinologist or even ask GP, but GPs often do not know what the proper level needs to be for women ttc. I always had to keep my TSH around 1 to get pregnant. If your levels are too high they prescribe medication and it usually fixes the level in 3 weeks. It's a very simple but important fix that women with higher TSH need to do. Other than fixing my thyroid and taking prenatals, I haven't changed anything. I try to eat organic, I don't drink much alcohol to begin with but I could never give up coffee. 😬
Thanks so much maybe they did check but didn’t tell me! Don’t know when I will next have my doctor appointment With fertility but will ask them that. Good luck with your pregnancy and thank you for the hope! Seems so impossible now xx
