2 failed cycles- Hope needed

Hi everyone, I’m on the hunt for hope.

We have had 2 rounds of ivf, 1st we retrieved 8 eggs 2 fertilised and made it to day 3. We had a fresh transfer and were unsuccessful- I started to bleed 6dpt

We have just completed our second cycle. 8 eggs were retrieved, all mature and ALL fertilised. We were over the moon. On day 3 they were slow growing so we were told to wait until day 5- NONE made it 😢

We understand the process and I’m partly grateful that I knew before any transfer that they wouldn’t survive.

I’m scared, scared to try another cycle.

I’m 41 my eggs are obviously poor, my husband has “super sperm” according to our doctor, I just feel like I’m letting the team down massively.

Does anyone have similar stories that have ended well?

Hi, I'm 41 also and have had issues with slow growing and arrested embryo development. 20 eggs collected, 14 fertilised, 1 made it to day 5 (fresh transfer and BFN) and 2 made it to frozen transfer - currently BFP! At our age less of the eggs from each batch are viable, so it takes more goes. As you are making it this far, things look positive, you just need luck on your side. All the best. This is hard 💞💖x

Hello. I'm an IVF newbie but just wanted to say hello as I'm also 41

I don't think you're letting the side down at all - you're doing everything you can to make this happen! Sounds like you're responding to meds and to get mature eggs that fertilise is surely good??

Don't give up hope - I would listen to your clinic on their advice and hopefully with changes, you will get there... Take care xx

Don't give up, I know it's hard. I'm 41 too and I know that fear about another cycle. See what your clinic suggests, but consider another round while you can. Hang in there xx

Hi, I am so sorry. I feel your pain - we had a failed IVF in November and i am 40. Feeling very despondent about everything. Hopefully 2021 will bring us good news!
