I wanted to share my story to hopefully give hope to others going through the IVF journey. My partner and I have been ttc for 2.5 years now. We fell pregnant straight away, but unfortunately it was ectopic and resulted in me having my right tube removed. We haven't managed to get pregnant since so moved to IVF about a year ago. The 1st round resulted in one mature egg being collected and was transferred on day 3 resulting in a bfn. Our second round was cancelled as I didn't respond to the medication at all. We have just completed our 3rd round and again only 1 mature egg was collected so I didn't have much hope, but we had a decent blast to transfer on day 5 and got our bfp last night! I know there's still a long way to go, but really does show that it only takes 1 good one. I'm 38 this month btw.

Congratulations, it's so lovely to hear positive reassuring stories, gives me hope.x
Great news! Congratulations!! xx
So happy for you. Congratulations! I only ever get 1 embryo per round usually and have been wondering if it is too little so it’s nice to hear a positive result. X
Thank you. I was so upset when I only got 1 egg, I thought there was zero chance it would work. I have very low amh for my age so don't expect high numbers, there were 6 follicles on day 1, only 3 grew and only 1 actually contained a mature egg. Trying not to get too ahead of myself atleast before having the 6 week scan, but thinking positively as the odds are definitely now more in my favour of everything being ok. I didn't have the embryo tested so know there's still a chance it's not viable, but fingers crossed!
I hope you get your bfp next time round x
Thank you, it’s ok to be happy too! I think we spend so much time preparing ourselves for the worst it’s good to enjoy those positive moments as well x
Yes, for sure. It's important to enjoy the happy moments, just hard not to worry when it's something you've been wanting for so long and you don't want to set yourself up for heartache. But feeling positive and enjoying thinking about the future x
I completely understand. X
