Progynova results

Hi all

I thought I’d share a brief experience of taking progynova as I was desperately researching before I had to start my protocol and really wanted answers regarding side effects. I was terrified they’d make me balloon in weight and send me crazy. Here are my findings, I appreciate they’re different for everyone but wanted to share incase anyone is worried like I was. Weird as I have no issue with any of the menapur, gonal f, buresilin, clomid etc that I’ve had to take for years but was very apprehensive about oestrogen sups.

So my dose is HIGH, 5 x 2 mg for 21 days in order to kick start ovaries and increase thin lining. Overall side effects were lower abdomen bloating, gas, nausea and breast enlargement/sensitivity. My skin broke out a little and I never normally get spots. I workout 5 times a week and even though I got tired I still managed to do my regular HIIT sessions and walk 10k everyday so energy was not that low. Insomnia was pretty awful though.

I experienced mood swings, especially in first few days, and general grumpiness but I think that’s to be expected!

In order to feel better I drank loads of water, like 3 litres a day and made sure I didn’t over indulge in unhealthy/non nutritious food. I normally eat really healthy so figured it even more important to do so now. Also zero alcohol and maybe one cup of coffee a day. I also think exercise and 2 yoga sessions a week did the world of good to keep me sane.

That being said I now can’t wait to end my progynova and get my day 1 so I can attempt my 4th iui, which may escalate to ivf should things take off. Praying for a lovely, thick, juicy lining and my follicles to actually do what they are meant to!
