3 Progynova tablets to increase lining?

Hi Ladies,

My last transfer in Nov was cancelled due to thin lining and I think the Dr. asked me to increase progynova from 2 to 3 tablets 3 times a day but I was not sure, so rang clinic today but the nurse said I need to take 2 tablets. She also said 2 is the maximum of this medication.

Has anyone been advised to take 3 Progynova to increase lining?

2 tablets is definitely not the maximum dose of these meds. I've been on way more, I usually start on 4 per day and increase to 5 per day as my lining is a bit lazy. Go with what the Dr says.xx

Many thanks for your replied. I am sure Dr. said 3 as I was on 2 tablets last time. Did you take 5 tablets 3 time a day or 5 tablets in totale a day?

I got told to space mine out equally throughout the day so 5 tablets in total but at on one cycle I was on 8 tablets a day and know others that have too.xx

I’m currently taking Progynova and I’m on 4x tablets per day (8mg in total). I’d go with what your doctor advised xx

So if I go with Dr. advised I would take 9 tablets per day which is 18mg in total. All comments no one has had more than 8 tablets in total a day. I'm a bit confused now.

Ah you’re saying you’ve been told to take 2-3x tablets 3x a day so either 6x in total or 9x a day which is quite a lot. I misread your first message.

If your doctor has advised taking 3x times 3x a day to increase your lining, then I’d be inclined to trust his expert opinion. Xx

Sorry I just read my message and realised it made no sense! I was taking 4 x progynova tablets each day. I also used estrogen patches every day. Hope that makes sense. I imagine your doctor it the best person to listen to xx

Hi Goyjung, my first scan last week showed my lining is too thin too so my transfer next week may be cancelled. My doctor upped my dose to 2 tablets plus 2 patches. Scan is tomorrow so see if I’m ready. I also have fluid in my womb which is worrying so just praying this has disappeared and lining has thickened 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Thank you! The patches work in the same way the tablets do, just depends on your body I think as to which work better but I’m on both! The patches are called Elleste solo if you wanted to ask your doctor. Wishing you all the best, stay positive

I’ve been on 5x tablets a day previously. I usually start at 4 then an upped to 5. That’s 10mg xx

I also had thin lining issues and had 2 cycles cancelled as a result. This past cycle I was on 10 mg a day (so that’s 5 Progynova tablets) and patches every other day. That was the max dosage my clinic claimed I could be on. Best of luck to you!

2 is definitely not the max. I was on 3 a day from my very first FET. I didn’t get above 8mm on my first two goes (although did get pregnant on one, mc). For my third FET I was still put on 3 a day. I also added - raspberry leaf supplements, beetroot and Pom juice (small glass of each a day), vit e twice a day and coq10 twice a day. Hot water bottle on belly every eve (don’t do this after transfer). Plus I took it easy, walks every day but not anything intense. To my surprise my lining got to 9.3mm in that cycle so I def recommend all those extras. It would make sense for your doctor to up your dose to 3 per day after a cancelled cycle so I would go with that xxx

Thanks for the tip. I will try those. Reading all comments no one had more than 8 tablets a day so I will stick with 2 tablets(3 times/day).

Great to hear that your lining increased to required thickness. I'm currently taking 2x progynova's for 4 days and then it will increase to 3 tablets a day.. In addition I've started drinking rasp. leaf tea and pomegranate juice; in addition to castor oil packs. I've got a scan on Thursday so I'm so glad to read that the extras worked for you. xx
