Follicle tracking on clomid... scan update

Hi ladies

I had my first scan today for my first month of clomid. I’m currently on day 7 and have taken clomid from day 2 to 6. Along with pregnacare vitamin d and DHEA until my other supplements arrive.

The scan showed. 1 follicle on the left measuring 11 in size and 2 on the right measuring 13,14.

I’ve got another scan Monday, the nurse said my lining is thickening and could be a little thinker, not sure if this will naturally happen in next few days???

Just wondered if anymore has had these results on their first scans on clomid regards to numbers & sizes?

HI,

my clinic does not start scanning on clomid until day 12, so having already follicles that are more than 12mm insize at that stage is not too bad. I sometimes did not even have this a day 12. Also dont worry about yo8ur lining, CD7 is very early in the cycle, and it definitely will thicken.

Thank you so much for replying, there’s not much on here regards to clomid & scans that I could find. Therefore didn’t know if this was low numbers however a good old google search.... I found another few ladies that said they like between 2-3 follicles to avoid risk of multiple birth so fingers crossed this is right. Xx

Optimally you would want to have 1 big follicle in the end. Where I am they leave it up to you when you have 2, but when there are 3 this cycle will be cancelled. But unfortunately you will just have to wait, there is still plenty of time and the dominant follicle grows to >20mm.

Hey, that’s all sounding positive. My clinic only like 2/3 follicles otherwise they abandoned the cycle due to the risk of multiples. It’s still very early for your lining so should definitely thicken in the next few days. Lots of luck xx

Hey, ye that’s what I’ve read too, it’s nice to get the smallest of positives in this journey.... how are you? Everything going ok with you pregnancy? I’m currently researching vitamins, willing to gives these next 6 months on Clomid my best shot x

Definitely, we have to hold on to those positives no matter how small. I’m okay thanks, all going well so far just taking one day at a time x

Hi, that’s sounds really positive! I got scanned day 12 of my cycle last month and I had 2 follicles measuring around 14mm! So for you to already have those numbers on day 7 is fab!

Unfortunately I didn’t get pregnant last month but ovulated right when I should of from my blood work.

Hi, thank u fingers crossed, are you taking any other supplements at the same time as clomid? I keep experiencing dizziness & headaches but heard that’s normal size effects. Along with pain on the right ovary, nurse said it’s because the larger follicules are on that side x

I’m only taking my folic acid! That’s all my clinic recommended for now so seeing how that goes! Omg the headaches are the worst! I’m currently off work with the worst migraine due to my hormones 😩. But unfortunately we have to go through these pains to get our end result👶🏼✨🤞🏼💙💗! I’m on my second round now, currently CD 25 so hopefully this is the month xx

Thankyou so much! Honestly my first cycle of clomid the days all seemed so long! This cycle I feel a lot more laid back with it all!

No my consultant only checks follicles first month on clomid, so now it’s just blood tests towards the end of my cycle to check on my progesterone levels to make sure I am ovulating okay. I feel a lot more laid back I think because I don’t gave so many appointments to see what’s going on in there, last month it was all so much in my mind because they monitor you more so I think having only my bloods done this month has helped me relax so much xx
