Day 7 scan. Sizes of follicles

Hi ladies.

I had my day 7 scan today. I have 5 follicles. 2 at 14, 2 at 16 and one at 17. I’m on 225 menopur. Lining is good apparently and bloods showed oestrogen at 3200. They have me in tomorrow for another scan. Is it likely that all 5 will be big enough for collection? Or will the ones at 14 still be too small?

Not sure love. Nurse said maybe Wednesday/Thursday. I’ll likely find out tomorrow after my scan. Do you think the wee ones will be big enough? Xx

I had my last scan on a Monday and egg collection was due the Wednesday. They delayed it by a day to give the follicles at 15/16mm a chance to jump up and on the day the 12mm had grown too so I’d definitely say yours have a good chance!

Hi love. Got my scan today. I’ve got 1 at 18, 1 at 17, 3 at 15 and 3 at 14. Nurse thinks I’ll take my booster tomorrow night. How much had yours grown by between scan and retrieval? Xxx

Hey Hun, ah so they have grown since yesterday which is good news. Do you still have to take meds today?

I didn’t have another scan after my Monday one but they must have got to the required size as I got 17 eggs in the end whereas on the Monday it was looking like 7.

Also I saw your other post, that’s a fab lining. I hope I get that! Looking very positive for you lovely xxx

Thanks love. I have another scan tomorrow. I have to take my cetrotide tonight but no menopur in the morning before the scan. Fingers crossed.

Ahh I couldn’t wait to stop taking that cetrotide 🙈 I had to use it after collection too 😩

Had my last scan this morning. I have 1x23 2x20 5x17 and 1 at 14. Lining is looking good as well. Ec is Wednesday xxx

Yes thanks, feeling quite good about it. More positive than this time last cycle. I just hope we get a good number and some of them fertilise and give us a wee chance.

I’m ok thanks. I find out Weds if I can go ahead with transfer following my recent hysteroscopy so just need to know already! I know I’ll be hugely disappointed if I can’t so trying not to get my hopes up but it’s hard not to! Xxx

I had a hysteroscopy in November last year as they thought I had a polyp. Turns out it wasn’t but whatever it was they took it out.

Give yourself time lovely. Don’t be too disappointed if they tell you to wait. You want to be at the top of your game for transfer!

Yes I know. I completely trust what my gynaecologist will recommend & will go with her suggestion but I’ve had so many set backs I feel like I’m never going to get there 😩

I think it’s very difficult to say because everyone responds so differently to different drugs/doses. It all sounds like it is going well though. Hopefully they can give you more of an idea at your scan tomorrow. Lots of luck xx
