Hello all you lovely people. Just wanted to vent a little about the huge amount of time we've seemed to spend just waiting for appointments.
I was referred for ivf in September last year, on the understanding that it was a 12 month list. We had all the blood tests, SA and HSG done. I assumed we'd be starting treatment this September. In May I was told I'd need a lap and ovarian drilling, which is now done and recovered from.
I've now found out that as a Welsh patient having treatment in England, there is no funding available till April!!! What the heck am I supposed to do till then?!
Sorry for the rant. I just feel really down about the whole thing.

Ah it’s so annoying to wait. I’m waiting for my first appointment at the hospital (following a referral from my GP). I know that will be followed by more waiting for more appointments. I just want to get started! It’s so frustrating and I feel like my ovaries are getting older and more rubbish every day!
Waiting sucks. We’ll get there in the end and it will all be worth it.
Hi Rach. So sorry t hear this. All I can suggest is that you keep trying to see whether there have been any cancellations and they can book you in earlier. Good luck! Diane
Hi Rach, how did you get on? I'm a same sex welsh patient waiting for treatment on the NHS after failed self funded treatment. We were told we have to wait on a 12-18 month wait list as per policy, they do this to see if anyone can conceve naturally and therefore don't need the funding. Its now been 12 months and still waiting, no updates from the clinic. My anxiety is running wild!
