After 6 months of jumping through flaming hoops, 2 previous refusals, numerous blood tests and thousands of phone calls we have finally had our funding approved. Cannot believe how excited I am. Literally dancing round the front room like a loon. We may actually get to be parents!
A happy healthy Wednesday to all!

Fantastic news hun. I know how you feel. I got mine approved in September and due to start on my next period. Im very happy for youu. Sending you hugs and lots of positive vibess and lets hope you will start very soon 😍😍😍😍 Did you get appointment for initial consultation? Xx
They're sending all our appts through the post, that first appt will be February, a little bit of a wait but I've just had an op (not fertility related) and have to wait 3 months post that before our first cycle. They did offer December but I might upset my other consultant! Sending good thoughts your way, hope you get a positive outcome xx
Hiya. Thats fantastic. Congrats on having your funding approved. Ours took a while and we had all sorts of hurdles to overcome but we got there. Good luck and i pray you get to be parents. 😘🤗
We're military so our funding works in a different way, but if you Google IVF CCG and your area that will be able to tell you the guidance for where you are. Don't click on the NICE guidelines as that is what an ideal world would look like for every one. Good luck.
I feel quite ungrateful actually. I am still in denial about going for IVF and my funding came through pretty quickly, I really should be more grateful considering what others are going through! I wish I was as excited as you!
We've been waiting for this for nearly 2 years and have always been quite realistic about our fertility. When we first started to try we said well if we cant conceive naturally we'll try IVF and if that doesn't work there are children out there who we can love as if they were ours. I think that's helped us a lot to think like that. Our clinic also gave us group counselling sessions which were really useful and we'd recommend them even if it's just to meet others. Good luck with your cycles!
I guess everyone has their own journeys, and mine has been pretty long too. It's taken me 2 and a half years to get to start any fertility treatment. I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis, I have a hydrosalpinx, I've never been pregnant so perfectly valid reasons for funding. I've had 6 months of Zoladex with two surgeries, one pretty complex and it's been really hard. The nhs funding came through pretty quick once I had all my tests done. Which has been quite a relief as it's been a very difficult 3 years. So perhaps it's not been so easy after all! X
