Referral times after funding approved?

Hello, me and my partner have received a letter say we have NHS funding approved after a long wait. Does anyone know how long it takes to be seen and start ivf?

Hi it really depends on where you are i think... we first saw our consultant this time may 2014 and had first cycle of ivf in jan 2016 now waiting frozen embryo transfer in the next few months and that's our entitlement gone after that so 2 and a bit years start to finish I guess though if you told me that 2 years ago i would have thoughti would never be able to cope with that wait...

Hi Amie1 - we had referral from GP in June 2015 and first consultation end of November, second consultation in March, started down regulation in April, stimms this week and have egg collection on 23rd May... in a nutshell! We didn't ever get a letter to say we had our funding approved but we completed the paperwork for funding before our second consultation and it was handed in in March.
