I think it’s just a matter of inserting the pessary as far as you can. If you use an applicator I would insert this until you are left with just the button at the end to push to release the tablet. X

Thanks, I don’t have an applicator, probably over thinking it but you know what’s it’s like just panicking you’re going to do something wrong and ruin your chances!xx

I used them rectally without an applicator and just pushed it as far as it would go, not the most dignified start to the day but needs must eh?! Good luck 😊💕 xxx

Don’t apologise! No, it was fine, it did make me feel like I needed to go to the toilet quite soon but I tried to hold off for at least half an hour so it didn’t come back out!xxx

I don’t do mine rectally but I had to insert a pessary that way on my first EC. I’d never done it before. You just push it as far as it will go and you can’t go wrong xx

You can use gloves or toilet paper to push it and no need to push your finger inside , you just feel it inside. And try to avoid to go the loo immediately because it gives you the feeling you need to but it's not it's just there going inside. Sorry for the

details but in this forum we share news, stories, experiences, and ask questions about things that other people (not us ) would not take it seriously. Good luck

Make sure you’ve definitely been for your morning poo first! Otherwise it’s uncomfortable as it does make you want to go 🙈

I found if I angled the pointy end back towards me, it went in much smoother. You only need to push in with the tip of your finger. Then stand up and clench your butt cheeks, then you’ll feel it getting sucked in there & it feels like it just disappears.

Actually, once you’re used to it, I think it’s much better than using them vaginally, as there is no mess & you can get on with your day straight away.

Good luck xx

Thanks all, I don’t think it quite went in far enough last night but this morning went much smoother and defo went in all the way. Do you think I’ll still have had enough progesterone from yesterday if it wasn’t quite in properly??
