Anyone tried using pessary before embryo transfer?

Pessary
Yep, I was told to use it between collection and transfer but not the morning of the transfer itself. However my instructions also said it wouldn't matter if I didn't manage it. Hope that helps
I did every time. Just not on transfer morning. We used it after.
We used a donor egg so i started pessaries on the day of the donors egg collection and have been using them every day since, even on the day of embryo transfer. We are now 3dpt using a blastocyst so am at home taking it easy.
My clinic told me exactly when to use them. Have you asked them to confirm what you should do?
I am using the pessaries now but I checked with the nurse at the clinic as the instructions said to take them every 8 hours exactly and I work full time so this would have been awkward. But she said as long as I take 1 in the morning, when I get in from work, and 1 before bed then it's fine. xx
Yup this is what the embryologist told me. Twice a day 1 in the morning before you do your activity lay down for 20 min and another 1 at night before going to bed 👍🏻
yup im on them! for the past two mornings ive needed the loo straight after - but tried to hang on 20-30 mins after putting it in! hope it absorbed in that time!
Did you notice any "white thing" in your undies when using it for the first time they're like white discharges or something like that?
nah nothing like that - when i went to the loo this morning and wiped it was just like clear kind of substance a little
They can be quite messy I get this every day. I read that the discharge is just the outer shell and your body absorbs the bit you need
Yep should have made it clearer, I'm still taking it and if all goes well will be for a long while yet, all 12 weeks. Reading about it the does and when you take it very much depends on how thick your lining is in the run up to collection and transfer. Thankfully I'm only having to take it twice a day but others seem to have to take it more.
Hi Mandy1978, this is only my 3rd day of using it twice a day and I feel awful. We can't find any symptoms in the Internet the same symptoms that I've got. I am now waiting a call back from my fetility nurse to ask if I need to carry on using this or any alternative drug they can gave me. I've not had any symptoms in my previous injections this is the first and its cyclogest one.
Good idea to call and get it checked out, I am sure will know what best to do. I think I've almost given up reading about side affects of all the stuff we have or are taking. Each things seems different for each person so you're doing the right thing in calling. Really hope they can give you some answers.
