Negative test - back to normal life

Hi everyone,

Hope that you are all doing well. Just had my pregnancy test after the two week wait, and it was negative. I had suspected this; for like 10 days of the wait I just felt normal and definitely not pregnant.

I am told there is now a 2-3 month wait for my body to get back to normal before I can have a frozen embryo put in. So I will have a nice glass of wine and lots of hugs tonight and be grateful for the potential little ones that are waiting in deep freeze!

I am happy to be off the progesterone pessaries as those were messy little b@&gers.

Does anyone else feel like they are in some kind of alien experiment?!

Sorry to hear about your bfn. But you have just the right attitude - enjoy your wine and cuddles, and dream about those embryos. Your time is ever closer!

I was also unsuccessful in my first fresh round of ivf, but my FET several months later resulted in my beautiful baby boy.

Make sure you talk about how you are feeling with your partner. Maybe a counsellor too of you are not already seeing one.

Oh, sorry to read this. Totally sucks. We took a break and a holiday and enjoyed all the cocktails! It’s really tough but you’re sounding really strong and you will be ready in a few months to try again. Wishing you all the best xx

So sorry for the negative test ❤️ I didn’t feel normal in my tww but also knew all along it hadnt worked 😖Haha yes I get what you mean about the experiment, the whole thing is nuts & I never miss the pessaries!

So sorry to hear you had a bfn. My first fresh cycle was a bfn and we took the summer off and tried again with our sole frostie which resulted in a bfp so I have every hope you’ll get a your result soon. I’ve heard the FET’s can be more successful as your body has had change to recover from egg collection. Defo enjoy the wine and cuddles tonight and start again fresh in the new year. Have everything crossed for you! Xx

Sorry about the BFN. i experienced that during my last cycle and i felt like the world was making fun of me. it helps to forget about things and have fun a little bit. i took the break we got married and I enrolled at college. i feel i`m ready to start.
