Im wondering if anyone has side effects from the medication ? Is there anything to look out for or perhaps more common than others?
Im currently on Gonal F injections and lately I've been feeling very down and snappy at my OH. Also just finished a round of microgynon and I'm still taking folic acid.
Hello! I am not sure if it's the meds (hormones) or all the hopes, dreams and resultant frayed nerves which cause it. But yes, I can relate to that.

Thanks for the message. I wear my heart on my sleeve which doesn't help in these situations and my emotions are so raw. I hate the idea of taking pills for long periods and my hormones are going mad! So much to think/worry about and my head is like mush! x
Oh dear. It's bad enough without all that. I found that meditation / mindfulness has really helped me. Hope you know of something you can do that instantly calms you - favourite food/film/walk/book, meet up with friends. Whatever you need to do to chil out. I hope you can.

Yes actually I had the same experience during my 2 cycle of IVF. I was so down and tired , bloated and gained weight ! Also on the last days too moch sore and pain on my breasts! So dont worry ,it’ll be all gone but takes time for a couple of months!

Hi I’m just reading your post now, I was also exactly the same, I’m positive it was the microgynon. I was an emotional wreck & as much as I’m usually soft hearted, this made me even more so! What your feeling seems very normal (from the short time I’ve been doing it anyway) best of luck with your treatment xx
Gonal f will mess with your hormones, it can be like an extreme version of pmt. your hubbie will need to suck it up and remember that you’re doing the injections for both of you- his role is to support you x
