Well I'm on my 10th go at ivf and 2 weeks into my bruserlin infections, not starting my stims until 19th Oct and I'm finding it a struggle to inject I keep brusing myself, any suggestions would be grateful. Thanks 😊

You deserve a medal, how do you do it?!

With injecting I'm on my 4th time injecting but hopefully 3 days away from 3rd egg collection.

It seems to be pot luck. Sometimes they hurt and bruise others no issues. I have quite a bloated painful tummy at the mo so plenty of fat to grab.

Some girls ice before, could be an idea?

It's something I've got use to ova the years ivf is all I've known for 20 years hence the 10th go. It's funny ppl tell me how strong I am but trust me I crumble everyday, they just don't see it. I'm hoping this is my time so I can start my next chapter in life.

I'll give the ice a try if it stops the brusing.

Strong is all I can say I pop in every now and then but to see that you are going for a 10th go is left me speechless.

Can I ask your age and why you have tried donor eggs? Are you self funding all of these try's and what have the doctors said.

Have you never had a Bfp?

There is so much to ask yet I admire you... I was 4. x failed fresh cycles private funded own eggs and 1 x donor eggs successful but lost at 17.5 weeks ☹️️.

About to embark on another round just waiting for donor to start her cycle.

Hi tamtam1 I'm am strong but only because I've a good hubby who stands by through it all. I've funded 9 and got one go free.

I'm 40 years old

I've tried every new ivf treatment my clinic has offered at extra cost.

Idid get a bfp 2 years ago but ended in a missed miscarriage.

Donors are not an option for me I've tried to get my heads round it weve talked for years abt it but for some reason I can't accept it.

10 wow. I found the injections ok at first as I had the kids size needles but when I ran out and they gave me slightly bigger ones I found it hard and kept bruising. I then had to use my legs coz I was struggling so much with my tummy, the small needles didn't hurt at all. I couldn't believe the difference. I've had one failed IVF and now need to find the money and strength to go through it again. I'm only 4 days after my BFN and go back work today. Scared I'm just going to crumble. Wish you all the luck in the world. X

It is strange out of the 6 cycles I went through I had one cycle in particular that I really bruised up badly and I looked like I had done may rounds with Mike Tyson. I am sure I did not change my technique or anything.

I pinched a good inch of skin, flabby bits!!! before inserting. I also was advised to leave the needle in after dispensing all of the product for a good 10 seconds, remove the needle and press down with a medical wipe for a short time after removal of the needle.

I hope you see some improvements.

You are such a brave woman. I hope this is your last cycle. I worry if we are unsuccessful on nhs how we will fund but cross that bridge if we come to it. Lots of love and luck🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀xxx
