Hi everyone, I am due to start Menopur injections today. Just wondering if anyone is roughly at the same stage or has been through this part and has any tips they don't mind sharing? Thanks in advance x

Hi. I used Menopur on my last cycle. If you have been given the glass ampoules containing powder and have not used them before, look up on YouTube for a video on how to break them. First time I gave it a try I smashed the top and glass went everywhere. Watched a video on YouTube and was fine from then on. Good luck with your treatment x

Oh yes, I had to watch a video as well, by the time I started taking injections my mind had gone blank, I'd say give yourself an extra 20 to 30 minutes in your routine so you're not rushing. xx

I used Menopur in Feb and I was fine, I had headache on day 1 and bloating from around day 8 or 9, the bloating was manageable though, no complaints from me

I'd say the usual, drink lots of water (I aimed for 3 liters) and eat good foods containing protein.

Hi, I am due to start a combination of Menopur and Gonal F tomorrow. Have exactly the same concerns- but will definitely be giving myself time to watch the video to make sure I get it right! I agree with the other comments, try to drink plenty of water, and take your time. Here if you have any questions. Hope it goes well x

Hi, thanks everyone. Definitely found the video useful and I made up the solution night before so gives more time to focus on the injection itself. Thanks for the well wishes, tips and sharing your symptoms. Had first injection this morning and another this evening. Evening one went better now I know what to expect.
