Menopur

Hi my partner is taking menopur, 6 injections a night it is her 4th batch and I forgot to inject the fluid in to the bottle of menopur but instead injected the fluid instead, she had 5 doses of menopur instead of 6 that night, will this do anything cn someone help.

Have you had any scans yet? I wouldn't panic, at the moment you are taking this to encourage follicle growth. Advise the clinic so they know. Everyone responds differently to the follicle medication anyway. Best thing to do is not panic xx

Thank you, I was rushing this morning typing this post as I was on my way to work, my partner is going for a scan today, the thing is I didn't tell her last night as I didn't want to upset her, I do all the prep while she injects, I was really tired and just put the fluid in the syringe and didn't mix it with the powder.Do you think I should tell her. It was her 5th set of 6X injections out of the 12 she will finish next Tuesday 20th, she is on her way to a scan today at 10.30am.

Everyone responds differently. It would be better to tell her in order that she can tell the clinic. What they are looking for at this first scan is to see how she is responding to the drugs. If one is missed it could make a difference to what they suggest next. I know when I had menopur they had me take it for longer but some people react faster and with many more follicles.

Just let your wife know in time for the appointment.

Oh, I forgot to tell you to try to relax! Ha ha

Anyway, the impact of one missed injection at this point might mean that you have an extra day to wait before you trigger - it is not the end of the world. And it might not even mean that. People mess up injections all the time. I lost count of the number I had to discard as the glass smashed rather than snapped off. Don't worry.

Hi . I think you should ring the clinc and mention it to them . Ask them opinion then tell her . Problem is especially with menopur you can’t rush it . That’s what I would suggest
