Natural FET cycle

Hi, we are about to embark on a natural cycle after our first failed fresh cycle and I'm about to start testing for ovulation but I'm wondering if anyone has gone through the process and could explain what happens as I've only been told that once I have my ovulation peak they will aim to transfer 6 days later but is there any observations prior to this or anything I can do to enhance the chances thanks all or if anyone had any general guidance or advice that would be handy 😊 thanks

Hi It differs from clinic to clinic to clinic. What you are saying sounds like my NHS clinic's process. You test with ovulation strips. Once positive you go in for a blood test which confirms LH rise and then plan transfer 6 days after this. No scans.

My current clinic abroad prefer scans for follicle monitoring and bloods. Depending on when you normally ovulate

they first scan you around day 7 or8 they then repeat everyday or two and check bloods for LH. That's what I did and it was two scans a blood test and transfer 6 days later.

They often give you a trigger shot to time ovulation once the follicle is at a good size this is to help them time the transfer for their convenience .

Just wanted to wish you good luck with your treatment Make sure having a healthy diet [ avoid processed foods -lots of colourful veg lean meal ] Reduce your caffeine intake - try fruit teas and plenty of water Keep active and try to reduce stress levels - acupuncture or reflexology may help

Take care

Hi, I've just had the same experience as Tnthbetnf, I had my FET on Wednesday. They call this protocol natural modified as there is still use of scans and booster. However the protocol you are on is natural. From my experience I much preferred the reduction in drugs! I think it's less stressful on the mind and body. In terms of advice I obviously don't know the outcome of my FET yet but personally try to reduce stress levels as much as possible, eat healthier and hydrate. Good luck, I'd love to hear how it goes, hope we both get our miracle on this round 🥰

Very similar to my experience. I had modified natural so trigger shot when LH surge showed and started progesterone. No scan or anything which after 6 previous transfers involving lots of scans bloods and meds felt weird. But it’s the one that worked and I’m now 26 weeks 😊 Good luck 🤞🏼

I struggled with positivity. I read a short book called The Secret. It’s about the laws of attraction and powers of positive thinking. Made me decide to force myself to be more positive. If you put out negative vibes that’s what you will attract. So I tried fake it till you make it!

My 7th transfer which was my one, I kept getting signs. My dad’s lucky number was 7 and it kept coming up. Starting with transfer date 27th, allocated row 7 on the plane. Lots of other stuff including the Virgin Mary going past our hotel room window 😂 I’m not bonkers lol. It was an Easter parade. Each thing just made me think omg is this my time, so maybe the positive vibes I put out were reciprocated?’ I dunno but can’t hurt!

Wishing you a ton of luck and sending lots of positive vibes!!!!
