Day 8 of Buserelin and positive pregnancy test 😱 can it be a false positive?

Hi Ladies

Well the question is in the title 😱😱

I m on Buserelin for medicated FET, was a couple of days late on my periods but it happened on downregulation before so wasn’t thinking much of it.

anyhow i thought I d do a test anyways for peace of mind, and OMG it was positive 😱

Can it b a false positive? Has anyone had that before?

Will call hospital tomorrow but Am freaking out and dont know if i should stop Buserelin now, wait tomorrow and if i am indeed pregnant was the Buserelin harmful???

I believe there’s no reason you’d get a false positive from Buserlin - that usually only happens with trigger shots of HCG.

I would stop the buserelin and phone the clinic in the morning it can’t be a false positive and you are indeed pregnant 😊

Thanks ladies 🙏🏻 I spoke with a nurse and need to go in tomorrow to see a doctor, possibly scan and blood test, not sure.

No Buserelin tonight and if i m not pregnant they ll advise what to do. I feel like AF is coming so don’t know what to think... will keep you posted xxx

I wouldnt take anymore drugs and call the clinic, you shouldnt get a false positive from buserelin! Good luck!xx

Last update, just out of hospital.

The lining is thick but that’s all they can see, no sac on the scan but they said it might be too early.

No blood test which i thought was weird but hey.

Have been given progesterone, prednisolone, clexane and aspirin, and need to go back in 2 weeks...

They said if pregnancy test is postitive, congratulations for now 😛 but come back in 2 weeks to confirm the pregnancy is viable / if they can see a sac... 🙄🤨

If i bleed in the meantime need to call or go to A&E. I never had a positive, ever!!! So I’m kind of Yay but also scared 😨

Hi AlexHoBo , sorry I know this is an old post but would you mind sharing how did that go? Was your pregnancy confirmed in the end?

I’m about to start Buserelin and asked what would be the impact of taking it without having a blood test done before - in case of an early pregnancy - and my clinic said it wouldn't be a problem.. they just advised to take a test if my period does not arrive in few days.
