Could it be a chemical pregnancy

Has anyone ever had a chemical pregnancy? I have been testing positive for the last 4 days and then today it’s negative on 2 different tests. I have not had any bleeding or strong cramps. I am so confused as even on my last round when I miscarried at 10 weeks I still tested positive for over a week. Confused to how it’s changed over night. My test day isn’t until Tuesday so clinic told me to wait and test again but I don’t see it changing from positive to negative back to positive :(

Oh no 😞 I'm so sorry to read this. I haven't had a chemical so can't give you any advice, just want to say I'm thinking of you x

Hi Dreamer. I've had a chemical and this is exactly what happened to me. Have a read of my posts. Stay positive as you've still a couple of days left until your OTD. Good luck xx

I will have a look just now. Thanks I just don’t see it turning around but can’t get my head around how over night it can change to negative when it took over a week to get a negative after a miscarriage. Thanks xx

Are you using the first urine of the day?

Yes. Different times depending when I get up etc but always first urine. Although today the second negative test was afternoon but first urine of the day was negative too xx

Hi there, I had a chemical pregnancy last year. I had a few positive tests, however the line wasn’t getting darker and then on my OTD it was negative. It really messes with your mind 💕 xx

It really does I can’t understand how it can change so quick.. in the space of 24 hours basically without any cramps or bleeding. xx

Hi, sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy. Mine was exactly the same as yours. One day it was there, the next it wasn’t. Although I was using a clear blue digital which said pregnant 1-2 weeks so I didn’t have a line to monitor the strength of. With such an early chemical the hcg hasn’t had chance to build up in your body so will disappear much faster. For me I didn’t have any cramps and the bleeding only started once I came off the meds as they were holding AF away. From being on here a while it seems some ladies when they experience a chemical pregnancy have loads of bleeding and cramps whilst others just have a normal period. I was in the latter category, and only experienced a couple of days of bleeding albeit slightly heavier than normal with a couple of large clots which looked more like tissue and I can only assume was the start of the placenta forming. I hope it’s as quick for you as it was for me. Make sure you look after yourself and take time to come to terms with it as it’s tough emotionally too x

Hi I had it a few weeks ago, I tested positive on the thu but hcg was low, clinic asked me to retest Monday, but sat night Sunday morning I felt that whatever had been there had gone. I retestedon the Monday which confirmed it, its hard, but I would wait till your test day. You never know x
