I am feeling stressed and having many sleepless nights because my period hasn’t come. Does anyone know what happens if my buserelin doesn’t come at all? I am having all the symptoms of AF but no sign so does this mean it hasn’t worked? In my first failed cycle my period came exactly on time after down reg so I don’t know why it hasn’t happened this time.
I turned 36 on Friday and keep having panic attacks as I feel time is running out nothing is happening.
Any advice will be welcomed

Oh lovely, try not to stress yourself. Have you spoke to your clinic, did they say how long to expect AF after the buserelin? It’s a while since I last did it but I think I down-regged for a good 2-3 weeks before period came. Don’t get yourself panicked over age/time. Focus on the now. You need to feel well and strong for this cycle; you are taking action and that’s what’s important now not what age you’ve just turned. Try to unwind a little, some nice distractions and relaxation. Walking, reading? Panic attacks can be awful, I know. Worrying won’t change anything, it only wastes your energy and adds stress. Be kind to yourself. xx
Thank you for you messages of hope. I felt very tearful overnight but I probably should have recognised it as a sign because my period came overnight. Now I’m experiencing cramping and pain in my lower back but it’s worth it to have AF here. Will message my clinic now and I’m looking forward to the next stage of this cycle.
Thanks you for making me feel better and like my old self. Xxxx
I know that feeling of time pressure only too well, but try not to worry, you do have time & it’s great that you are almost done with down regging, ready for a fresh chance of getting your dream baby xx Buserelin can delay your period by up to a week... it also impacts your sleep (and your state of mind!) so I think things will improve for you & you’ll regain your positivity soon enough. Wishing you lots of luck for the next phase of your cycle xx
