Down regulating & no period yet

Hi ladies, im stressing out. Started my first cycle of ivf / icsi. Started suprecur on 11th July, got baseline scan on this Wednesday cominf and still haven't got my period. Really worrying that my scan will be cancelled. Also got so much going on in work and have booked leave for Wednesday. If I have to cancel scan it's going to cause chaos in work. Anyone else not get their period in time? Thanks x

Hi there, on my first fresh cycle of ivf, I was on the pill to down regulate. It must have totally shut me down because I never had a period! I went for a scan and my lining was thin so who knows what happened to it!

I know easier said than done, but please try not to stress over it 💕 xx

Thank you, I've come out for the afternoon to distract me, Also have a job interview tomoro to finish preparing for, so at leastI've got stuff to take my mind off it. Good luck with your cycle, hope you're feeling well x

I also didn’t think I’d had a period, but when I went for my baseline scan to begin stimming, they said I def had had a period as my lining was thin? Wish my periods could normally be like that! Good luck xx

Thanks everyone. It's just so annoying that this could delay everything. They told me that they wont even scan me if I've not had my period or not on my period x

Same here! I had my first egg retrieval on 14th July and been on the down grading pill for 12 days stopped it yesterday but still no period!! The doc said it taking around 3 days after stopping the medication for the periods to come back so waiting for 3 days!! Has it been 3 days since you stopping the down grading medication?? Don’t worry I hear there are medicines to kickstart the periods too

The injections I'm on don't stop yet, I will stay on these even when I start the stimulation injections, looks like we are on different treatment plans. Good luck x

My period didn’t start until just under two weeks on down regulation meds so try not to worry- I’m sure it will appear in the next couple of days xx

Sounds like we are following the same plan - i started on the 11th also and meant to have a scan this wednesday but i always worked out that my period wouldnt be due until tomorrow (i know my cycles now haha!) and the clinic said at the time they would leave it and to let them know and if i am right they will have to push this scan back probably by a week

Sorry I know thats not what you probably want to hear and yours might be different.

GL though hun - keep me updated its nice to have someone on similar dates to follow xx

That's exciting that we started on same day. My period arrived today, day 32 of my cycle. So I'm pleased Wednesdays scan will go ahead. Not looking forward to it being done whilst on a period though! Can't say I'm looking forward to starting 2nd lot is injections, but it's got to be. Hope you're able to have your scan soon, good luck x

Ahh glad it showed for you and you can have your scan! Mine is just arriving so will contact my clinic today and get my new dates, will probably be slightly behind you now but will still follow your journey! GL Hun xx

I got the start of my period today! So pleased! Just glad my process isn't going to be delayed. Didn't get the job, but got enough going on in my personal life anyhow x x

Just popping back to say - I have my dates now my first scan is now next Wednesday with a view for collection on the 13th FC!!

I will be looking out for your updates x
