Maybe a trivial Q: But(t) cellulite...

Have any of you noticed the appearance of cellulite since starting ivf? I've never suffered before but it seems unshiftable now...I'm v active, not overweight, tried dry brushing, massages, collagen supplements...presuming it's all the fluctuations in hormones my body has had this past year and perhaps the location of the injections into my thighs.

Does anyone have any other suggestions or advice?! I know this is fickle and perhaps a small price to pay - but is this yet another consequence our bodies have to suffer!?

I already had cellulite so it’s hard to say! My advice is to let it go and try not to worry about it - as you say, it’s probably the hormones so just wait to see what happens when you stop them. Or have you already stopped? I’m currently injecting and feel like total crap, haven’t even thought to look (mainly because I’ve been eating for England and I’m scared to!).

Which stage are you at with them? It's crappie isn't it but will all be worth it one day! I just wondered if it had been a noticeable change in others. Perhaps it's my bodies way of processing the medication?! Ugh!

Hi Stepharni. This is a nuisance! Wondered if you are collecting bit of fluid? I assume you are passing urine OK? If it worsens, have a word with your GP. Hope it soon settles and gets no worse. Diane

Yes I feel fine fine, been off the medication for almost 3wks but had this for a while now. Just curious to see if it's a poss side effect of the hormonal ups and downs! Thanks Diane x

I think a lot of us out there have put on some extra pounds doing treatment, being on drugs....and if Im honest in my case a bit of comfort eating/drinking! However over the last couple of months I have really ramped up my exercise and joined the gym and the weight aint coming off.....flipping annoying!!xx

Yes it's all a complete rollercoaster not just emotionally but for our bodies, great you're on the excercise mission-the weight will shift eventually!! - our professor explained that the medication is way more than we would ever produce naturally so it could be that I just need to help shift it out!

If you're an optimist, cellulite is creating an avenue to increase your health levels by a considerable amount. The shortcut way to get rid of it is heading to cosmetic treatment centers that use specialized aesthetic medical devices to treat it in different stages. For example, venusconcept.com/en-ca has all sorts of equipment preferred by aestheticians from around the globe.

However, the straightforward way involves following a strict exercise routine, inculcating healthy eating habits that include a controlled diet and saying NO to a lot of things you love.
