I had my hysteroscopy in march, I was awake for it and il be honest it was uncomfortable at times but manageable. I had it to try and clear the fluid in my uterus, I had a small amount of bleeding after but was fine later that day xx
Thank you for the reply.
I had a hysteroscopy done but it was under GA. It rules out a lot of things as they took biopsies and they found that I had thick scar tissue that may be causing me implantation issues so cut that away - this was the main reason for the GA, they didnt know this beforehand but they wanted to be able to sort anything found whilst in there - mine was done in Athens.xx
Thank you Cinderella5 for the reply.
Actually last dec i went for a scan and they found abnormality and referred me for hysteroscopy. Later i requested for another scan following month and the scan was good there is nothing wrong. So i requested to cancel the procedure. Now i am regretting that i should have done that .
Can you perhaps call them back and ask for the hysteroscopy to be reinstated? They might say no but worth an ask!xx
Sure, its worth a try, i was thinking to for private clinic but not decided anything though
Its pretty expensive in the UK (not sure if that's where you are) if you are paying privately. We went abroad as that is where Im having treatment but it might be worth considering as it cost a fair bit less if money is an issue.xx
Yes, i live in uk, i looked up for prices here and its around 1300 pounds and bit more in some clinics . I need to think about money as well. Looks like i have to use all my savings . Will have to see how everything goes. NHS now takes ages to follow up. Will have to decide on many things. keep u posted .
That's acutally not too bad. I found the prices in Scotland much higher so that sounds promising. Its annoying having to think about using your savings though! Urrgghhh! Take your time to have a think carefully and do ring and see if they will reinstate your previous hystero, Im always of the opinion "if you dont ask, you dont get"!xx
I had one in Feb. It was to remove a small polyp but it turned out the little blighter went on its own despite being attached to a blood supply. They said there was no sign of endometriosis and then only pain I had was mild cramps. I did feel really tired for a few days from the GA and had a bit of constipation. Other than that it was fine.
