Ovulation Tests

I’m just trying to get over our failed cycle last month (it came during a very tough week and I really feel knocked for six by it all). I started ovulation testing because, why not have a go? I am using the Clearblue with the High and Peak indicator, and have so far had 4 days of high but no peak. The same thing happened when I was doing the tests for a natural FET (which was cancelled because I never peaked).

Has anyone else had similar?

I would regularly get 4 days of high before a peak, and some months even more. I'm not sure i ever had less than 4 days of high fertility before my peak. The cycle after my chemical I think I had about 8+ days of high before I finally got a peak. If you were on meds last cycle it may well have messed with your cycle in a similar way to a chemical. Keep going with it and only give up if you've had 9+ days of a high. X

I usually get 4 high days and then get a peak.

I have had the odd cycle ( not often) where I have not detected my Lh surge shortly after my chemical pregnancy but it can be affected by hormones so maybe your cycle has thrown it out? Really sorry to hear your cycle wasn’t successful how heartbreaking for you 💔

I agree with Jacqui84 keep testing until you reach over 9 days of high days. I hope you see an LH surge soon I know it’s stressful testing. Every month I worry I won’t see an Lh surge. It’s normal to worry ; this whole journey is such a worry ☹️xoxo

Good luck 👍

I find the clearblue with the smiley face (when you have a positive) much easier, none of this high and peak stuff. A negative is a circle ⭕️ and a positive is a smiley 🙂 xx

I’ve only ever had negative (very faint line never 2 strong lines) but I did get pregnant but miscarried. Did 21 day test doctor has referred me to fertility clinic looks like I don’t ovulate as I should.

Don't know if it's the same one, but i started using the clear blue that gave you a flashing happy face for high and a solid happy face for peak. I once got the flashing happy face for a week I started to panic something was wrong. My husband thought the kit might be broken so he pee'd on a stick and got a flashing happy face. He obviously wasn't about to ovulate, so I Googled and it was suggested that if you miss using the kit at peak time then it gets stuck on high. So I switched to the cheap ones so that might be part of the problem.

That said even with the cheap ones I do often get a positive results for a few days then back to negative. I spoke to my consultant about this and they have assured me not to worry as I get a period 14 days after the positive result.

Not what you're looking for?
