Early Peak ovulation

Hi lovelies,

Such a stressful week. We are meant to be having our 2nd natural FET this cycle after our first resulted in a BFP and then early mc in March.

So first stress this week was being contact traced and told I need to self isolate until Tuesday which meant I couldn’t have my scan on Monday! Panic over nurse said not to worry Tuesday or Wednesday should be fine.

Second stress last night when I got my peak on CD8 which is so unusual for me. Usually get on day 12, once day 11 and 13. Went from Low Friday eve to High Saturday morning and then Peak Saturday eve. Used a new holder that I tested last month and I do think it came up slightly early but not this early.

So this morning I dug out two older holders (one of which I used in March for our first FET and it worked perfectly) and both this morning have given me a low reading!

I wish I’d used them again last night because now I’m unsure whether the new holder an error being this early or has my peak come and gone in such a short time hence it’s now showing low?

So confusing but ultimately if the peak last night was correct then we will have to cancel this cycle as I won’t get a scan in time before I ovulate! So frustrating because it’s never happened this early. Feels like everything is against this cycle!

Think I’m having a few ovulation like twinges on the right which makes me think the peak was right but equally I ALWAYS notice twinges on this side even months I should be ovulating from the other!

I would test with the cheap strips - my clinic wouldn’t let me use the digital ones?

And also try naturally between now and your scan day just in case you did ovulate! X

I’ll get someone to grab me some today thank you! My clinic recommend the digital but not the advanced ones but because I have always used the advanced I’ve just continued as until now they’ve seemed pretty accurate!

Hi Mai94 the clinic advised me to go with the straight yes or no smiley face as the low and high readings can just confuse things. I also had another cheapo test that wasn’t showing a very strong line but got the smiley face on clear blue.The other thing is there must be some slight wiggle room as my transfer took place on day 6 not day 5 due bank holiday as they wanted to check my lining with another scan(they were closed sundays). Don’t know if that provides a little reassurance. Good luck x

I am on natural FET cycles and my clinic doesn’t offer scans at all, so I wouldn’t worry too much if you don’t manage to get one in. Hopefully they will still let you transfer if you want. As Fluffy21 says, there is also definitely a bit of wiggle room for the transfer window as far as I understand so hopefully it’ll all be good. Better an early ovulation than late as it means less waiting

Thanks all for your messages ! Update everything worked out fine, the early peak must have been an error and I continued testing with different holders, got my peak on Wednesday (first day out of isolation) and scan was all fine so we are booked for our transfer on Tuesday! And breath 🥰

I’ve booked annual leave for the entire week so hoping to relax, enjoy the sun and hope little embryo nests in !
