I went in for my frozen transfer this week and after the speculum went in, I felt my muscles involuntarily contracting around it. It happened throughout the whole transfer. I tried to relax but couldn’t stop it - probably happened about 5 times or so. It’s like they just contracted and then relaxed. Nurse didnt say anything. Maybe I’m overthinking it and unnecessarily worrying about it. But I’m afraid that it’s not a good sign....I don’t recall it happening at all during my fresh transfer. It was someone different who did it.
Anyone else experience the same thing or have any thoughts on it?
TIA
PS Here I go again on another 2WW. 🙏

it fell out?! 😱 how stressful. Mine just felt like it was really far and deep in there so perhaps why I felt the muscles spasming 😒
Sounds like it was your vaginal muscles having spasms. The muscle controlling your womb is smooth muscle and not under voluntary control. I am sure it is unlikely to have made a negative impact on your transfer. The transfer cartridge goes through the neck of the womb so embryo would be unaffected by vaginal muscles. Easier said than done but try not to worry. Fingers crossed. X
My clinic are giving me a umer test before transfer. It shows how many times you contract. If above a certain number they give a intravenous drip with something to help stop contractions. It takes 4 hours. Two before transfer and two after. I’m sure all will be well with you. Good luck xxxx
