Radio 4 fertility series link - might be helpful

Hi all, just wanted to post a link to a BBC Radio 4 series about a couple’s journey to try to be parents. I’ve been following along and while most of the episodes make me cry, i completely identify with their struggles and I think it’s incredibly brave of them to share it so candidly and publicly.

They talk about their multiple tries with IVF, and then explore surrogacy and adoption. There’s a great episode where the husband chats to fellow male partners facing infertility in the pub (my husband found this helpful), and another recent one where the couple talk to their close family members about the impact it’s had on them (this really resonated with me and made me sob). The eps are all pretty short, and I thought it might help some of you to listen.

Thank you for sharing, I will be looking this up tomorrow! It wouldn’t be Hannah and Lewis Vaughan Jones per chance? I followed their YouTube vlog about their last cycle which they decided to make public - so very brave of them. X

I think it's sophie sulheria and he husband jonny. I sent the link to my pareny and mother in law the one about families and they found it very helpful. I found the episode about a life without children very sad though..I was hoping that episode would be helpful. ..she is very brave to share her journey. thanks for making folk on here aware of it xxx

Hey, you’re welcome! I think they are great too. The clips you can play from the link I posted are the full series I think. Their story was told as part of another programme (called PM), so if you wanted to listen to that I think you’d find the whole programme on the BBC iPlayer app maybe? x

I’ve been listening to this while at work this morning. I’m glad I’m on my own because it’s made me very emotional. Thank you for sharing though xx

Oh no, sorry lovely! It is a real tear-jerker in places, but so educational and helpful for me too. I related to so much of what they're going through xx
