15 weeks pregnant, nose bleeding??

Hello ladies ,

I am 15 weeks 4 days pregnant and this evening I saw some bleed from my nose , is it normal ?? No pain , no cold , no sneezing or any discomfort . Just the tiny blood . Should I go and check with Gp?

Hi luv2017 I've read that this is normal. Have you looked on the bump website? It tells you all the weird and wonderful symptoms. If it persists maybe just check with your gp, but I think it's OK xx

I’ve had this too. It’s down to progesterone and increased blood supply making small capillaries weaker in your nose and also gums so you might find after brushing your teeth there is blood when you spit xx

Ya I get blood after brushing , that was scary intially but I am used now . Today had a nose bleeding for the first time ,hope it’s normal . Thanks for that

I get nose bleeds regularly now, something I never had before. Apparently down to all the hormones. Perfectly normal, don’t worry xxx

I think this is normal as i had the same situation. Nose bleeding without cold ,jut tiny bloodx

But still if u are on doubt you can call ur GP x

Yes I’ve read this recently actually. Increase in blood around that time of pregnancy can cause nose bleeds. I’d just mention it to your midwife, I’m sure she’ll reassure you.

I used to have nose bleeds when I was pregnant, I never had then before or after so I say not to worry to much.

Hi luv2017. Only just read this, but it is quite common. I would keep an eye on your blood pressure, just in case that is going up. Hope all settles down. Diane
