Bleeding 7 weeks pregnant - IVF

Iv had some heavy cramps for about an hour today then they eased, I then felt a gush of blood and I haven’t stopped bleeding since for the last 2 hours. No clots and no pain. We had an early scan on Tuesday and saw the baby and heartbeat. I’m sat in a and e waiting to be seen and my husband isn’t allowed with me and I’m just so sad can’t believe I’m going through this alone 😞

Oh Minnie I'm so sorry that must be so scary. Try and focus on something around you that's distracting, try and stay off Google while you're waiting to be seen xx

Thanks everyone for your kind messages, Iv had an internal examination and my cervix is closed, no active bleeding and they seem positive it’s not a miscarriage as I saw the heartbeat a few days ago so going for a scan at EPU tomorrow so feeing a lot better xx

I had a heavy bleed at 6 weeks before I had had my first scan. Because it was a weekend the ivf clinic sent me to the maternity hospital to the early pregnancy unit. I was bleeding a lot and some clots. I had to change my pad. They performed a scan and couldn't see where the bleed was coming from but could see a heartbeat. I had to stay till bleeding stopped which took about 2 hrs. I didn't have any further bleeding throughout and had a healthy hsppy pregnancy. All the best. Bleeding is common but scary. If you have seen a heartbeat already that is really good news Xxx

I had a bleed like yours at exactly 7 weeks. It’s very scary but can be very common too. I am now 38+5. Don’t lose hope, everything can carry on perfectly ♥️♥️

I'm so sorry that must have been so scary, especially having to wait in A&E alone. But know that you're never alone, you always have this community!I've read your update, so glad they think everything is ok! Hopefully that should put your mind at ease. Keep us updated with how your scan goes today. Best wishes!! xxx
