Bleeding after chemical pregnancy

How have others found bleeding after Ivf and chemical pregnancy? My stomach is still bloated from the last couple of months of ivf and medication and getting pregnant and now my bleeding is on and off, nothing like when I had a blighted ovum and miscarriage where I was heavy bleeding and ended up being rushed to hospital. At this rate I think I will be bleeding for weeks. Help! Is this normal?

Sorry to hear of your loss. Mine has been quite normal directly afterwards lasting up to 7 or so days. That being said, I’m currently on the period afterwards and and it’s been really short and unusual (only two days and little bleeding, lots of CM) so it can really vary as I didn’t have this with my chemical a few months ago. I hope it ends for you soon!

Thanks for replying. My light bleeding/ spotting lasted about 7 days in the end. I’m still very bloated though and tummy feels quite hard. Am also hungry! Not sure if it’s reducing my steroids / stopping other meds that are causing it. Roll on next month when I hope I have a normal period. 🙏

Hiya I’ve had x 2 kinds of chemicals one after ivf and one without .. now the first bleeding for over a month the second bleeding on and off in the end I asked my Gp for help and he prescribed me something to help stop this then my period started the month after and back to normal only they seemed lighter … sorry to hear about your loss I hope it ends for you soon .

Wow, over a month you poor thing. My bleeding has now stopped. Didn’t turn into a proper bleed, very light/watery, on and off for about a week. I still have cramps and bloating which I hope go soon. Can I ask have you tried again since your loses?

I’m glad things have stopped for you now and hoping the cramps and bloating goes soon for you … we had the chemical with ivf on our first attempt it was heartbreaking we got a glimpse of hope then the chemical we had another embi transferred then that ended in a bfn 😢 I decided to give my body a rest after that it didn’t half play with my head and stared to feel like the whole wanting a baby so much was changing me as a person .. about 2 years after I had a period then thought this isn’t right it was going on forever so the Gp did bloods and confirmed there was hormone in my body but it wasn’t strong enough to be viable I held on again to more hope but the week later the hormones had completely gone so he said it sounds like another chemical 😢 we decided to carry on as we were we were super busy with a house and was planning a wedding that was canceld due to covid we tied the knot in May this year .. not long after Christmas before the wedding I thought weres my period again 🙈 I have other things going on and have been diagnosed with rhumatoid arthritis I had quite a few flares after catching covid so everything was up the wall I had loads of steriods and injections to help with the pain soo I thought it’s probably the medication that’s messed my cycle up well and truly… another week passed then I thought there’s absolutely no way I can be pregnant.. anyway 4 tests later I’m deffinetly pregnant thought I can’t deal with another Chemical I was testing like a maniac .. now 35weeks with a date for induction on the 5th September… it’s been one crazy ride for sure 💕
